Amba Spa At Deerhurst Resort

My husband and I booked our massages relatively last minute, so we were pleased when we were able to book 2 massages back to back for our Christmas "staycation". It was $155 plus tax ($175) for a 50 minute massage (plus a tip in which we were told 20% was customary, making the massage over $200 each for 50 mins). The price also included access to the pool and hot tub; however, as paying guests we had access to this anyways and the pool and hot tubs were very busy with kids. This pricing is on par with Ste. Anne's spa pricing ( Ste Anne's is $160 for 45 mins plus tax for RMT) and therefore it's hard not to compare experiences when paying very similar pricing. Also, to note that Ste. Anne's is all inclusive and a tip is included in their price. The change rooms were small and cramped. There was no where to actually get changed into a robe besides a small washroom stall. I opted to sit in the lounge to wait for my massage. The treatment rooms were very tiny and the beds were quite uncomfortable. The hallways were loud and it just took away from the experience during the massage itself. Over all, I would have to say our experience was mediocre for the price we paid. The few staff that we encountered were friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, we will likely not be back for future treatments as we felt it was just not worth the money.

my boyfriend and i visited the amba spa back in october and it was such a lovely experience! I had Matt K RMT and my boyfriend had Bonnie T RMT, they both made us feel beyond welcomed and comfortable. this was our first massage ever and we were pretty nervous, not knowing what to expect and they walked us through the whole experience step by step, while also making the experience tranquil and calming. Matt was amazing at giving me respect, privacy and asking for consent each step of the way. ❤️ thank you again Matt K and Bonnie T you are awesome!!!

Really icky experience. Had a bad massage, despite asking twice for some pressure, I was basically just rubbed the majority of the time (supposed to be an RMT massage). When I voiced this to the receptionist she knew right away who I was talking about and felt bad, however, when speaking to the supervisor she basically dismissed this as “preference.” EDIT: Since posting this, management did reach out to me and provided me with a full refund. I do appreciate the step to try and make things right, and hope they follow up with the RMT.

My partner and I decided to leave camping at Arrowhead a day early because the bugs were SO bad, and booked some time at this spa instead and I have 0 regrets! Agnes, the Spa manager was able to accommodate us with very last minute bookings and although we weren’t able to get massages on the same day, we were able to use the steam & tea rooms together. I just left my relaxing appointment with Shannon Z who was incredibly personable and kind and took great care of my body despite it being riddled with bug bites🤣 highly recommend!

I recently booked a massage to help with pain from a minor injury. My therapist put me at ease with his techniques which were the perfect amount of pressure combined with very professional draping and his soothing tone of voice suggesting that I add stretching daily. Within minutes I felt so relaxed and comfortable! He also encouraged me to breathe through any sore spots he was working on which really helped. Afterwards I felt in a dream like state, I definitely recommend Nick for RMT massage!
