Amerispa

We had a good time. We went for the evening session to check it out as we have already been to other spas in the area. It's way older than Koena, so don't expect new, but has the same nature/private vibe as Nordik. It's not as big or as varied in choices of saunas etc either, with only one steam one and one dry one. Also, there is no food served past 4:30 pm, so you have to make sure you eat before going to the night session(5:30-9 pm) I would've liked for them to stay open as late as the other spas, as they are charging more for the evening rate, but their day rate is comparable. I also like the concept that the locker rooms walk out into the spa area so it's easier to go back and use the restrooms when needed. I definitely plan to go back for a full day and try some other treatments, not just the baths, and the bistro restaurant as well. We were a group of 5 and all had a relaxing evening. The young gentleman at the counter was polite and helpful and gave us a mini tour as well and pointed out where things were located, so it was easier to find things once changed. All in all, a nice place and would definitely recommend if going for a more small, quiet, private vibe.

JUNE 2025 UPDATE: Nothing has been done to keep up the venue. It's getting old and no improvements or enhancements in sight. The pool falls has not worked in over 1+ years..tiles are falling out and it looks dated.. Why oh why won't you put any money into this spa? It's also more expensive than ever, 160+ for 2 people during daytime.with bath access only. Shame really. ------------- It's a great spa..much smaller than the big guy.. However what it lacks in space it makes up for in ambiance. Very intimate and inviting..especially at night. My only real caveat is the fires...I wish they had more than one lit at once and I especially wish they would be more vigilant in keeping it aflame. I've had to ask management more than once why there was no fire. Otherwise it's a great venue..and I highly recommend it! The employees are very friendly and inviting!

Kind of dirty and rundown. Janitor buckets around some of the saunas with smelly water, leaky ceilings, etc. Also generally, not many options of sauna and pools (very small and limited). Massages were done by pretty low experience workers. Not worth the price. Also, they refused to honor our gift cards because they were a couple years old. The person at reception said to simply contact the Office de la protection du consommateur and that they would issue a refund on their behalf, and that the process is simple/painless. I contacted them and they said "no, you must deal with Amerispa directly". So it appears the Amerispa reception worker lied to me. Would not recommend.

The spa is calm and quiet and the massage was excellent. The receptionist was very friendly. The food at the bistro was delicious. The issue is how run down it is. The waterfall in the warm pool doesn’t work. The cold pools weren’t really that cold. The wood structures were rotting and there were no cushions on any of the wicker furniture. Sadly, the gardens and grounds looked like they haven’t been tended to in years. So sad as it really is a lovely little spa in a beautiful location. I hope the owner puts in a little TLC in their property.. as the cost of a day pass is more expensive than most spas in the region.

If you have never been to a nordic spa, you may love it. It is definitely very calm and serene, never crowded. If you are expecting the luxury of other nordic spas, you will be disappointed. There are often sections that are out of order or not working properly (once it was the steam room, another time the hot tub) and it has a bit of a run down look. The dry sauna is extremely hot you cannot touch anything with bare skin. The steam room once had so much mint infused it stung my eyes. The bistro closes early and the menu is limited and somewhat-healthy, be sure to check in advance if that is important to you!
