Aqua Bay Pool and Spa Ltd.

Recently had to purchase a new UV bulb and landed at Aqua Bay to which they had the model I was looking for. Mentioned that this particular model couldn't be tested as they didn't have the equipment. When bringing the bulb out, I asked what the return policy was on this product as I couldn't even tell if it works. I didn't get a response until AFTER being checked out. I was told by the employee named Alex that there was zero return on it if it is open after I already purchased the bulb right there. After expressing how it is impossible to know if it works without opening it, he said "If it doesn't work, then we should be able to figure something out". When I got home and had the plumbers come out, I asked them to install the bulb while they were there. Upon inspection, it turns out that the UV unit was busted and recommended to get a whole new one as that one was old. On top of that, when inspecting the bulb, it didn't look quite right either. When I returned to Aqua Bay, I pleaded my case with the other employees and they called an owner to see what can be done as the manager on duty "didn't want to be disturbed on his lunch". They were able to get one of the owners on the phone, but she didn't even give the gentleman an answer. I asked what my next steps were, and I was given a phone number to the other owner to call the next day. No thanks. I will not be wasting my time calling around when I was told by one of their own employees that we could figure something out. I will personally not be returning to this company.

Cody and Fred, technical staff at Aqua Bay, were exceptional with knowledge and integrity. They diagnosed the problem with my hot tub and stated all that was necessary was a new heater. They led me through the steps to install the new heater which I installed with no problem. They also recommended certain changes I make in the general maintenance of the tub. The original seller of the tub (NOT Aqua Bay) was ready to sell me a total new spa package at a much higher cost and ultimately would not have corrected the problem. I was ready to spend the money, but Cody and Fred said that with all honesty they could not do that. If you want knowledge, integrity and honesty go to Aqua Bay. Highly recommended.

Fred delivered our hot tub. Fred is a wealth of knowledge and a very nice guy. He made sure I knew everything I'd need to know regarding set-up and chemical application. Very friendly. Gary Tweedy was the electrician recommended, as he did not disappoint. Gary is likely the most professional electrician in the Quinte area. Everything went exactly as planned, from purchase to delivery to filling it with water and enjoying it. Unfortunately, whenever we visit the store, for water test or advice on chemicals, there's very few (usually only 2) employees there, making our wait time longer than other spa stores.

When choosing a pool company it is not easy. I interviewed many company’s. Jamie was very knowledgeable, easy to contact and I instantly felt comfortable when meeting him and his team. We purchased an above ground pool with them and they were right on time with the timeline they quoted us for. It was a fairly seamless install by their company. Followed up by a quick visit to go through how to operate it and a very detailed run down. I highly recommend using Aqua bay for any installation, service work or purchasing anything pool related! Their store in Belleville is full of tons of goodies!

We had a spa issue and went to aqua bay for help with chemicals. The young man we were dealing with was amazing then he put us onto Mike the owner who was absolutely fabulous. He explained everything and we understood the chemistry much better. I was willing to buy what ever to fix the problem and he only sold us what we needed. He gave us his cell number to call if we have another issue. Considering we didn’t buy the hot tub from aqua bay they went above to help us. Would recommend this place to anyone Thanks guys
