AUBERGE ET SPA LE HUARD

This inn was a wonderful discovery for us. The hosts are incredibly friendly and passionate about hospitality. We were charmed by the private gazebo and were able to take full advantage of the heated pool, as it was 28°C (82°F) when we arrived. The room was spacious and comfortable, although it wasn't air-conditioned. Given the heat and humidity, a standing fan would have been a welcome addition. However, the charm of this place is undeniable, and we loved it. Although dinner wasn't offered due to a lack of interest from other guests, we were treated to a delicious breakfast made with local products. They even had a twist on a mimosa, featuring beer from a local microbrewery and grapefruit juice, all included. A real treat! If you are looking for a place to relax, where the view is breathtaking and where the owners are present and involved in the life of their hostel, look no further, you will find a little piece of paradise!

Superb place, we particularly loved the spa, the little gazebos, and the sea view. The room wasn't air-conditioned, so a fan would have been appreciated. Luckily, the night wasn't too hot, but we had to leave the patio door open. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, which I loved! (But I think some rooms only have a bathtub, because when I arrived, I had the choice between a room with a bath or a shower.) The only slight drawback was that we were woken up at 6 a.m. by the comings and goings in the dining room above. The floorboards creaked a lot, and we could hear the conversations. 😅 But we really enjoyed chatting with the owners over breakfast and had a good laugh!

Such a delightful experience created by our hosts M. Carol and M. Marie Josie. They are born to be hosts!!! The best B and B or VRBO we have ever stayed at. Superb accommodations at edge of water- watch the seals and birds from your private outdoor lounge area. Gourmet breakfasts. Take advantage of the superb dinner (not included) if it's available. Dont be worried about the short drive down the gravel road in a residential area. This is beyond special. M Carol built this entire place himself. Rustic wood from local timber. Great beds. Can't say enough about it. NO problem communicating in English.

From the spa and the sea to the comfort of your inn, the delicious breakfasts, and the absolutely perfect lobster dinner prepared Basque-style, it was as if time had stood still. We were so lucky to have taken this little trip filled with discoveries, right down to the sound of the waves, which we appreciated so much we were filled with gratitude! A great experience. Upon arrival, the owners welcomed us and showed us to our room. We were then able to enjoy the spa and pool. Each room has its own gazebo with lounge chairs and armchairs and a sea view. The room was very clean and functional. In the morning, they bring you coffee to the gazebo and a delicious breakfast is served. I highly recommend this hostel. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
