Balnea Spa

I’ve been twice now and plan on going again. My first visit was in February 2025, so the lakeside area wasn’t open at the time. On my second visit, however, we were able to swim in the lake and enjoy the lakeside hot tubs and lounge spaces. The spa itself is quite large, with more than a dozen pools, six saunas, and several relaxation areas—some featuring aquariums, fireplaces, or outdoor fire pits. The robes are warm and comfortable, and there are plenty of towels and even blankets available. Pools are rarely crowded; usually only 4–5 people at most, and often you’ll find yourself completely alone. The view of the lake is spectacular, especially in the summer. The changing rooms and showers are well thought out and clean. Multiple services are available on site as long as you reserve ahead of time. The restaurant serves delicious food, though it is on the pricier side. There are also at least two bars, including one right by the lake. Phones and cameras aren’t permitted inside, which helps maintain a relaxing and private atmosphere.

What we enjoyed : calm and professional welcome, the amazing relaxing view from the various pools, the service and food in the restaurant ,the cleanliness and number of different areas to enjoy from the pools to the light room, dry and wet saunas and no phones on site which maintains a calm atmosphere. What we enjoyed less : poor signage to find the location maybe compounded on our visit by a truck having blocked one of the access roads and having to do a detour . Also small letter signage even once on site, ( maybe our boomer eyes but the signs were so small we had to get out of the car to read them to identify the parking area for clients and we even missed the arrow once on the service road up . No identification of individual pool heat but an overwhelming number of signs for no talking so every sign we thought would tell us whether it was a warm, hot or cold plunge turned out to be a no talking sign.

I spent the evening here and it was absolutely amazing. The spa offers multiple saunas, cold plunges, and thermal baths, as well as plenty of space to truly relax. Bathrobes and towels are provided, and you can refill your water bottle at any time (just make sure to bring one or purchase one on-site). My favorite spots were the Moroccan room and the “cinema” — perfect unwinding. The restaurant was excellent as well, with great service. I had the salmon and can highly recommend it. One thing I really, really appreciated: no phones are allowed in the spa areas. Please keep it that way — it makes such a difference! A small suggestion from a European point of view: an overview map of the complex, clear temperature information for the saunas, and scheduled Aufgüsse would be wonderful additions 😉

Truly an amazing experience. The place offers a wide variety of spas, saunas, hot pools, and cold pools, all exceptionally well maintained. The staff are absolutely brilliant—professional, warm, and always willing to assist with anything you need. The massages are outstanding, and the restaurants add to the overall luxury and comfort of the experience. Located just one hour from Montreal in the beautiful ski town of Bromont, and surrounded by a scenic lake with breathtaking, almost heavenly natural beauty, it truly feels like a retreat for the soul. I will undoubtedly be visiting multiple times a year. One small request to the management: it would be great if the restaurant prices could be brought down slightly, as they do feel a bit on the pricey side.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience that provides a break from the constant bustle of our time. For those looking to “unplug”, the strict no cell phone policy and quiet spaces are welcome. Set on a hillside overlooking a pond/lake, this spa has a variety of modes of relaxation. Although there was high attendance on the holiday weekend I visited, it did not feel overcrowded and I was able to access the spots I desired whenever I chose. The restaurant menu compliments the experience and is accessible in the dining room or lounge. Staff are attentive to needs of guests. I look forward to my next visit.
