Bugu Wellness

⸻ I visited with my daughter recently and overall, it was a nice experience. The facility is spotless, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the amenities are well-kept. The pools are perfectly chilled, and the sauna is wonderfully hot—exactly what you’d hope for in this type of setting. Unfortunately, our visit was marked by the presence of a large group of friends. While they were respectful, their loud conversations and the fact that we were all crammed into the sauna made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable and far from the calm, spa-like environment we were hoping for. It was too bad, as we had been looking forward to a more tranquil, zen experience. That said, I think this spot would be fantastic during quieter times, so I’d recommend visiting outside of peak hours if you’re seeking a more relaxing environment.
I’ve been to a few contrast therapy places and this has been my favourite by far (may be because I was one of two people for my time slot, due to off hours). The experience started with a friendly and detailed introduction to the location and info on their suggested timings. They give you towels, a robe, slides to wear between the sauna, tubs and lounge area, and complimentary water and tea. You also get your own tub which you can have at whatever temperature you want and can make it colder throughout your session. They have essential oils for the sauna, which I love, especially while fighting the end of a cold, and cool hats to help with temperatures in the sauna. Parking was also a breeze, through the shaughnessy square parade. I’m already looking forward to next week!!
i really love this place. super nice staff and owners, and a cozy welcoming vibe. there’s enough space to chill out and relax inbetween hot & cold cycles, which is nice. the sauna is great, and always nice and hot. being able to throw löyly is hit or miss sometimes. there was a while where it wasn’t allowed and then came back again. it’s an essential part of sauna, so we’re always happy to be able to have it. the showers are nice and always get warm quickly, and i love that you have your own designated cold plunge and you can request your temperature. they’re not fancy; the standard cattle trough ones, but they have the thermometer and a timer, so that’s all you really need. bonus points to this place for fantastic robes & towels. and nice slides.
Bugu Wellness is an absolute gem! This was my first time ever doing an ice bath. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed into a serene and rejuvenating space. Their cold plunges and saunas are perfect for relaxation, recovery, and overall well-being. We had a group of 7 adults and there was plenty of room in the sauna! They also go the extra mile by providing sandals, robes, and towels, making the entire experience seamless and luxurious. The atmosphere is clean, calming, and thoughtfully designed. The staff and owner are incredibly kind. The perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommend!!
I had never been to a place like this before, and I was genuinely impressed. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting—the interior design is thoughtfully curated and makes you feel instantly at ease. What really stood out was how much time the staff took to explain everything in detail. They’re not just knowledgeable—they’re passionate, kind, and incredibly helpful. I felt completely comfortable throughout the entire experience. Glad I gave it a try and can’t wait to go back.
