My husband and I visited the Captain James Cook statue while driving through Corner Brook on June 5, 2024. Seemed like lots of turns to wind our way up to it from the Trans Canada. It is a bit of a walk to the Statue if you have mobility issues (I have arthritis in my knee), but it's worth the view from up there. Also there are many informative plaques explaining his history. A beautiful view of the Humber River and the city of Corner Brook.

Visited the Captain James Cook Historic Site in Corner Brook and it was amazing! The views over the Bay of Islands and Blomidon Mountains are breathtaking. Loved the bronze statue and the history about Cook’s 1767 survey. Peaceful walking trails, free entry, and a perfect spot for photos and a bit of local history.

Awesome to know about our moments in history for Corner Brook with Captain James Cook. Great view too of the area. Love it. Been there twice and will keep visiting it whenever back home, proud to have this as part of our history for Corner Brook Nfld ❤️ 💙

I took my son and spouse here while we were in Corner Brook for a family reunion. It is my favourite view of the town "where I come from". It was clean. Plenty of parking. Lots of literature and education.
