Coconut Bay Spas

Went in for the first time to purchase a filter for the spa that came with my house. I had the make and model number and asked the guy at the desk for the filter for it. He laughed at me, then said I had to bring the filter in. I asked if they could not look it up with the make and model and he said no. One, it turned me off that he would laugh at me like that. 2. How do they do repairs then if I need a new pump or heater? I picked the filter I thought was the closest and said I needed filter cleaner too. The other guy said there are two options, no explanation of which was better etc. he offered me one. I asked him which would be the better for country water and he said oh, then you need this one. I asked about the cost of one of the tubs in the showroom he gave me an approximate price and not a definitive one. I don’t know if I was treated like that because I’m a woman, the fact I came off the job site a little dusty and in work clothes or they treat all customers like that, but if I go into a specialized place like that, I would have expected better service. As the owner of 2 businesses, I would explain in detail the products & options, especially if someone was asking about purchasing a product over $10,000. I’m not a tire kicker, I was genuinely looking to buy. I went to another company that provided much better service and purchased a spa there. If you are a woman or look like you can’t afford to buy, do not go there. They seem to judge a book by its cover.
Considering we are in this whole Covid-19 time, the service was great! Having to navigate all the new measures while still trying to maintain sales makes it more difficult for many reasons but they were still able to give great customer service! :) I was able to purchase multiple items as a gift for someone and the sales team really did help make the best possible decision. Only reason for not a perfect 5 stars (wish I could pick 4.5...) is because I wish they had a little more to select from in store...ordering under their conditions/restrictions is not really practical unless you do not care about time length...But like I said, great customer service and still very happy with my purchase. :)
I just bought my second Arctic Spa from Coconut Bay. I have been very pleased with them. The service I have received over the years has been efficient and timely. Jim (owner) is very knowledgeable about the products he sells and he goes out of his way to give great service. Michelle (owner) is pleasant and helpful with questions and providing information to make the hot tub experience extra special. Silas (worker) is very knowledgeable and helpful. He makes you feel welcome and never lets you leave the store until all your questions have been answered. I highly recommend Coconut Bay for the products they sell and the great service they provide.
I found the first initial person who was serving us to be very helpful than a second person came along and interfered and seemed quite rude afterward. We had gone home to take pictures and more description of the part and when we came back the same rude person wasn’t willing to even look for the part. Got the feeling he wanted to rush us out of the store. Ignorant and rude buddy,
Ordered a hottub and paid for it was told it would be stored in the back until we needed it. We came to get a couple of measurements for it weeks later and found ou unit outside the front of the store being used as a display. For ourselves this purchase was a large one and it was disappointing to say the least to see our hottub not cared for after we had paid for it.
