Corner Brook Stream Trail

Odd trail. Key to note the pipeline trail becomes the ginger root trail if you want it to loop back. But at the bottom where the stream and lifeguard stations are- First of all a grated bridge? My dog couldn’t get across- hard on his paws- they were being cut and his paws were sinking in. We then walked to the back or end of the trail maybe to an industrial area- kind of sketchy and dangerous and followed signs for the gorge-trail wasn’t exactly pretty- a lot of deciduous trees- but overall directions and signs were graffiti - ied over so we had trouble following the signs. Maybe I’m spoiled with trails but I found it odd. Thankfully we rain into two beautiful souls who were so kind- and even offered their number that if we got lost to give them a shout. I felt blessed as walking unfamiliar trails with a hound dog- can be a vast journey into the unknown! I wouldn’t recommend it as a visitor though. It’s not pretty and it’s mostly a gravel trail along a giant pipeline spitting water, no signs and we did get lost and couldn’t find our way back because it’s all unmarked. I felt like I had been abandoned in a deserted highway, my dogs laws were being destroyed by the gravel road. This is NOT a walk through the woods. You maybe get 15 minutes through the woods. Also view from the top wasn’t anything I’d write home about. Just not a pretty trail at all. Super steep in places and mostly an access road among a pipeline. Don’t bother. Find a better place to hike or stay in the park or drive to a different area and find a nicer trail. I’m noticing No trails on the west coast are marked- pretty scary.

It's this incredible little escape, right in the heart of everything. I've walked it many times, and it never gets old. You start near the Glynmill Inn Pond, and it's like stepping into a different world. The trail winds along the water, with the sound of the stream always there in the background. It's so peaceful. I've seen bald eagles, ducks, and all sorts of other wildlife I never expected to find in the middle of town. It's a really easy walk, too. Paved in some spots, gravel in others, but it's not a difficult hike by any means. It's perfect for a leisurely stroll, a morning jog, or just to clear your head. The trail is well-maintained, and there are some cool little bridges and lookout points. It's the kind of trail that makes you appreciate the little things. It's a must-do if you're ever in Corner Brook, or even if you live here and just need a little nature fix.

I just love this trail system. It connects to a ton more trails. They lead all over Corner Brook. Well taken care of and very user friendly. Lots of streams and the fall time is amazing. The sounds of nature is so peaceful you dont want to miss out on. On the plus side no problem to get your cardio there.

Great for morning walks/runs, or in the evening as well. Feed the ducks at either pond. I usually bring frozen peas, bread this time of the year is not the best for their habitat. Besides that they get lots of bread. They have been upgrading the trails all summer with new top layer.

Great trail in the middle of downtown Corner Brook. This trail is accessible all year long it has some nice scenery along Glynmill Inn Pond. I would recommend this trail to anybody that visits Corner Brook. This trail also extends to other areas of the city besides around the pond.
