Drift Day Spa

Went for a facial and massage and left feeling so relaxed! It was my first time getting a spa facial and massage so I wasnt quite sure what to expect. I do wish they would offer some suggestions to help better prepare for the services, like dont exfoliate before hand, remove hand jewelry, etc. I felt kind of awkward and out of place at first as the receptionist didnt really seem too concerned with my presence and I was asked if I could be helped with anything before I could take my jacket and boots off and formally go to the reception desk. It seemed almost like I wasnt really a priority and more like a random who came off of the street. The facial unfortunately left me with a pretty bad reaction and I have been incredibly itchy, swollen, and red. I do believe I have a bad allergic reaction to whatever was used on my face and this adds in to my next point that they would list or verablly tell you what they are putting on your skin first or help tailor it to your skin with a small consult... and although there is a clause you agree to that your skin may be irritated afterwards I didnt expect it to be at this level of irritation. My skin is blotchy, red, and the texture is pretty wild and EXTRMELY dry. The massage was really nice, I enjoyed that and it helped ease a lot of my tension and pain. The masseuse was sick, so I do wish she would have worn a mask, but since my face was in the chair hole it didn't bother me too much, but something to consider for next time. Both staff members were pleasant and easy to talk to.
Made an appointment for a 30 minute hot stone massage weeks in advance for 4 PM. Got a voicemail at 3:20 PM that day asking to bump the appointment to 4:15 as the therapist was going to be late. There was a terrible snowstorm, so I completely understood and changed my drive plans. I gave myself plenty of time because of the snowstorm, so I arrived before 4:10. Unfortunately, I accidentally went to their sister spa location. When I realized my mistake, I asked the nice lady at the sister spa to phone over and let them know I would be a few minutes late because of snowstorm. Arrived for my appointment at 4:22 and was told that they had received the phone call from the sister spa, but I couldn’t receive my massage because I was late and the therapist had to be out by a certain time. (Didn’t call me in the meantime to indicate there would be an issue). I was annoyed, but I had a gift certificate so I rescheduled the massage for the following week. Arrived on time and ended up to waiting 25 minutes before I was on the table for my treatment. *smh* Granted, the massage was good, and the staff were friendly, and the place was clean (hence the 2 stars). But getting spa treatments should be more relaxing than irritating, so I won’t be going back.
I have been going to drift since my nail technician went to work there 3 months ago. The spa is welcoming and comfortable. They have a well appointed salon, massage chairs for pedicures, great products and lots of selection of services and different types of services. My technician is very professional , very skilled and has a lovely and engaging personality . Her name is Aroosa and she is awesome!!! The only thing that could maybe improve the experience if the reception staff helped you with your coat . 2 staff were there when I came in , neither were busy and some congestion and confusion about the foot wear and coats. I knew the routine but others didn’t. Staff could have observed this and assisted. Otherwise great service.
booked 1 appointment for 4 people. they first, did not have anybody available for the booking after it was already booked. then continued to reschedule 2 appointments for 2 people at a time. when we showed up for those appointments in person, they were not even in the system. they have screwed us twice, and now their only free bookings on are christmas eve and new years. do better, i would go somewhere else but i have a 300 dollar un-refundable gift card. i am getting my nails done either way! do better🤦♀️
I was at Drift Day spa for a pedicure and a manicure for my trip to Mexico. I was offered a drink while I waited for my turn. After a brief wait I was welcomed to the back where I would be receiving my pedicure. Hana was very thorough, taking care to ask if everything was alright. After the pedicure it was onto the manicure with the some delightful nail art 🏝️by Hana at the end. That girl is very talented! 🩷I will return to Drift and specifically to Hana.
