Gallagher Centre

Amazing facilities. I came here to do lapses. On my first day, The pool temperature was good and not too cold ( they claim it’s between 80-82 Fahrenheit). The following days the water was quite cold even for lapses but I still enjoyed my swims. Staff are exceptionally kind. Lifeguard at lunch hour was super nice. If there is more than 2 people in one lane it could be uncomfortable but usually its not so busy. There is an amazing hot tub, a steam room and the kids have a blast in the weekends in the lazy River /wave pool. What a great family activity! The facilities are huge, change rooms clean, they even have a walking track and running track ( although you have to pay) The main reason I took out a star is because the place is way too expensive. I travel for a living and swim everywhere from Canada , Us, Mexico, Cuba, South America…$8 for a lane swim is very pricy and those pools also have hot tubs, sauna and kids area. The showers also have no hot water so you cannot take a proper shower after your swim. Since I work long hours weekends are the best and sometimes the only time I can get lap swims done hut they have no lap swim times on Sundays which is odd and very disappointing. No place can be perfect and im just grateful Yorkton has such a wonderful facility. PS of all the pools i have been to in SK the lifeguards here really do their job and are very attentive to the safety of patrons.
Very nice pool. Water was warm, the play side has a wave pool that is a pretty cool feature and a lazy river that two loops. Lap pool has a diving board and diving platforms. There is also a sauna and steam room and hot tub. Lots of good options for everyone. Pool is a decent price, adults were 8 and change and our kids (3-5) were 4 and change. There were quite a few public swim opportunities today. We booked and paid online, made for a quick and easy entrance. Lots of great things to say and really nothing bad. We drove 2 hours from swan because our only public swim for the day was full. We will 100% be back to gallagher centre to swim again!
Attended the Film Festival there and enjoyed the venue, the equipment was working and signage allowed me to see/find all the amenities. I didn't like how handicap parking was blocked off for politicians, but no cars used them. We had to drop passengers off to park further away and we lost critical companionship time to further experience. That being said, I was impressed with the amount of handicap parking that normally was available.
We went there for the first time today and had a great time. The place was very clean, the kids loved the wave pool and all the spray things. We loved that they had life jackets and floaties and a place for parents to sit out in the pool area but away from the pool. We thought it was inexpensive for the group we took. Great first experience. We will definitely be back!
Ive always enjoyed going to this pool. Its a great place to take family and friends. Big hot tub, huge well maintained wave pool, and lots of activites on the pool areas to keep the kids entertained. Shallow areas are great for bringing toddlers to splash around. Building is always clean and water temperature is perfect.
