Hidden Springs Retreat and Guest House

Myself and 6 other ladies came to Hidden Springs for a chill bachelorette getaway. We stayed in both the upper and lower suites during our 2-night stay. Overall, this place is very quaint and the property it's on is lovely! The views from the upper suite were beautiful! I am ultimately giving only 3 stars as this place needs a DEEP CLEAN (see photos). Everywhere we looked was dirty and the person/company the owners use to have these suites cleaned is either lying to them and/or the owners aren't confirming that they actually cleaned. We found multiple shards of glass embedded in the carpet in the upper suite (see last photo). We tried to vacuum which only lasted for 5 or so minutes before the vacuum stopped working due to being very full. We then tried to reach out to the owners and didn't hear back from them for over 24 hours. We ended up having to wear our shoes everywhere as we were worried about stepping on more glass. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here in it's current state.
I had an amazing experience staying here! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. The property owner was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The property itself was immaculate, with every detail carefully thought out. The place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. The amenities exceeded my expectations, and truly made my stay memorable. The location was ideal - quiet and peaceful. It was clear that a lot of care and effort went into creating an exceptional guest experience. The best thing about this place was an exceptional buddy named Fox. Fox was one of us, and will always be. I still remember fox running towards us to hang out and chill. I can’t recommend this place enough and will absolutely return in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
Our stay at Hidden Springs Retreat was truly a magical experience. Well ! This is our second time and the same place same day we visited here on Dec 20th 2023,2024….. Just a short drive from Edmonton, this hidden gem is surrounded by breathtaking views that instantly put you at ease. The luxurious accommodations are not only cozy but also thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a true home away from home. Barbara, our host, was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our every need was met with warmth and care. We enjoyed spending quality time in the serene setting, perfect for celebrating special occasion of my sister’s birthday party.Just not this …special attraction….Foxy and Tiny are two friendly and amazing dogs to play ! The blend of comfort and nature here is unparalleled, and we left feeling rejuvenated and eager to return! Thank you for the amazing hospitality.
We stayed at Hidden Springs for a few days, and it felt like stepping out of time. Barbara greeted us with such warmth. It wasn’t just friendly, it was grounding. She made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You can feel how much care has gone into this place, not just in the comforts, but in the atmosphere itself. Fox, the border collie, followed us gently wherever we went. Kit, more reserved, watched us from a distance. Both added to the quiet charm of the stay. One night, we were lucky enough to catch the northern lights—totally unexpected and beautiful. On another day, the wind got incredibly strong, but the cabin was solid and we felt completely safe inside. Something about this place just naturally makes you slow down and feel more present. It’s rare to feel this kind of peace. I’m grateful for it.
The accomodations are wonderfully serene and full-featrured. If you want to get away from the rush of urban life and unwind in a quiet retreat, this is the place. We have stayed in both the upper and lower sections of the guesthouse, and enjoyed both. In the summer we have hiked the grounds, and in the winter skied. One of the more unique features is the proximity of food services, which can be sorely lacking in other Alberta retreats. The suites both have full kitchens, but if you need a prepared meal, they are available in The Village at Pigeon Lake, Winfield, and Pendryl. Overall a serene nature retreat. Bonus for bike packers - it's about a days ride from either Edmonton or Red Deer!
