Horseshoe Adventure Park

*video taken at our first run, before the remaining 85% of people with our time slot made it up the conveyor. Came to horseshoe with two friends to enjoy a handful of winter sports, including tubing. Unfortunately, I did not live up to my expectations - which I do not think were unreasonably high. I purchased tickets online in advance, we showed up just before our timeslot to pick up our tickets and get in line. There was no queuing, people had no respect for each other, and those who arrived after us, but had the same time slot. We’re pushing to get in front of us in line. There’s only one person working at the bottom of the conveyor belt so they are not able to adequately monitor the queue. Once it was our time to go up, our tickets didn’t work. I then had to return to the tax shop and spend 20 minutes waiting in line to speak to a customer service agent to get issued new tickets. This ate into our two hour window to enjoy tubing. Yes, the actual tubing is fun. However: 1) you will tube once in 25 minutes, once you factor in the slow conveyor (5 minutes to the top), the disorganized and frankly chaotic queuing for each lane and getting down. Plus the walk back to the conveyor. 2) they are very understaffed - it is unfair to the workers and unfair to those who paid to enjoy the activity that there are 5 tubing lanes and 2 staff to help put riders down. Keep in mind we went 1-3 on a Saturday of family day weekend when they should have expected maximum capacity ridership. Disappointed and will try other options before returning here, if at all.

Overall had a fun day skiing but there were some hiccups. The instructors were very helpful and friendly but some of the station staff were not. One guy mistook me for a school kid (cos i’m small and short) and yelled at me just because i fell off the lift and struggled to get up to “get out of the way” and he threatened to take away my pass because I struggled?!??? Even if I were a kid, that’s not how to treat or talk to children. Very rude. Food was below average- kind of like canteen/ fast food. If you don’t actively do one of the activities they offer, there is not much to see when walking around.

There is no way this place charges more than Snow Valley. Snow Valley has like 12 lanes all of which are faster and longer. This place has 3 lanes that could compare to the Snow Valley kids junior lanes. Parking is garbage here too, and only one lift which you have to stand compared to snow valley where you can sit, which has 3 lifts. We literally left 10 minutes into our 2 hour session to go to Snow Valley at no refund. I’d rather just drive fast on the 400 than go on those hills. Would be good if it was $5 tbh.

Went here only because Snow Valley was sold out and we have company from South America experiencing Canada for the first time. Turns out Horseshoe doesn’t limit ticket sales, so that’s why it wasn’t sold out like Snow Valley. You’re lucky to get down the hill 3-4 times in your two hour time slot. Spent $57 per person to stand in lines both at the bottom and the top of the hill. Very disappointing :(. Staff were fantastic and dealt with unhappy patrons very well. It’s not their fault.

Waste of time and money. The snow tubing experience is basically a scam operation. Do not go unless you want to spend most of your allotted 2 hour window waiting in lines. Went today and took 30 minutes to get up the hill each time because clearly they oversold tickets. We were only able to get 2-3 rides. At $55 per person, that’s $20-30 per ride. Management cares more about short term profit over customer satisfaction, safety and loyalty.
