Island Sauna Nanaimo

Hello, really enjoyed my first session here! It was really lovely. However when I tried to book subsequent sessions they were canceled due to low attendance, one session 2hrs prior. However, I was fully refunded. I do understand the need to cancel due to low attendance but feel more advanced notice would be fair to the customer and perhaps revisiting the cancellation policy so it is more balanced. The cancellation policy if clients cancel 5hrs out there is a 5 dollar fee. Within 4hrs you forfeit payment. I was wondering why there is no credit being offered to the customer with a 2hr notice cancellation due to low attendance? It would certainly help motivate people to return. I had considered a membership but with my experience of having two sessions cancelled in a row, it didn't seem to be of benefit. Sharing this as it is a unique experience in Nanaimo and a wonderful offering, and would like to see it more reliable. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

What a beautiful place to spend a couple of hours to heal and cleanse my body and soul! The sauna was just right and the cold plunge baths were amazing! I’d recommend to those feeling tired and worn down to go. I believe the woman at the front name was Avery(sorry if I got it wrong) and was a fantastic, kind and warm fist contact as I entered. The place is amazingly clean and sanitary! Again, what a beautiful place, and you can do group sessions or just by oneself, which I did today. I can’t wait to gather a few friends to go soon. Honestly raved to everyone I saw today about my experience there! Stephen

The check in lady was very nice! Great atmosphere. I liked how many plunges they had and the sauna was very nice! Being right on the lake was beautiful too. It was clean, organized, and not overpacked either! I love that there are social options, quiet options, girls nights, and singles nights! Super good for meeting new people and mingling if that’s the goal. I would absolutely go back!

I’ve been there once before and it was great then. Second time, (this time) Jasmine the host, made the experience something completely different and immersive. This, in my opinion, really upped the game of this sauna. The way she hosted and invited you into her world while leaving you undisturbed, yet attended to, was unique and very special. kudos

Had an amazing experience at Island Sauna. The lake view and peaceful atmosphere made for a perfect relaxation spot. The mix of sauna and cold plunge while being surrounded by nature was fantastic. I joined a social session with five others and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend, and will definitely come back.
