I really appreciate that the men and women are separated, that feels rare nowadays and makes the experience much more comfortable. I also love that a lot of young people like myself go there; it gives the space a great energy and community vibe however. The ONLY reason I’m giving this one star right now is because the men’s side really needs major upgrades. I’m saying this because I genuinely want this place to be the best it can be. The shower area feels outdated and uninviting — broken tiles, old shower curtains, and the overall condition makes it feel less clean than it should. The tiles in the cold plunge pool look grimy and dark, and walking from the hot tub to the steam room, the flooring is uneven and worn. These details really impact the experience. It’s especially noticeable since prices have increased, but there haven’t been visible upgrades to the men’s facilities. I fully understand that operating costs go up — but customers also want to see improvements that reflect those increases. When you compare it to somewhere like Q Sauna and Spa (I know it’s in the U.S., about two hours away), their website shows a facility that looks much more modern, clean, and inviting. If JJ Spa upgraded the men’s side to that level, honestly, even if you charged $10 more , it would absolutely be worth it. Please, JJ Spa, listen to your customers and consider making major upgrades to the men’s side. Even something as simple as redoing the tiles in black or dark grey could completely transform the space and give it that true luxury spa feel, similar to Q Sauna and Spa. I truly believe you would attract even more customers if the men’s side looked more presentable, modern, and stylish. I’m sharing this because I want to keep coming here and I want this place to thrive. The potential is absolutely there.

I’ve been going to JJ’s Family Spa for years and always loved it, but things have gone downhill since the pandemic. Admission has more than doubled—from about $16–$18 to $35—with no visible upgrades or improvements. I recently brought my wife and three friends to celebrate her birthday, hoping for the same relaxing, welcoming experience JJ’s used to offer. Instead, we felt uncomfortable and singled out from the start. A male employee unnecessarily pointed out that my uniform was “for ladies,” even though they’re handed out by the front desk person, who did not make a mistake in handing me the correct uniform. He apologized and patted me on the back, this made for an awkward and uncomfortable start. In the locker room, a female staff member hovered over us, correcting us before we’d even settled in. Once in the bathing area, the same employee confronted us for being nude—even though others were as well, and JJ’s has always been clothing-optional- within the gendered shower and hot tub area. When I asked why we were being singled out, she laughed and walked away. As a Black, cis gendered lesbian, I couldn’t shake the feeling that bias played a role in how we were treated. JJ’s used to be one of the most inclusive, relaxing spaces in the area. Sadly, that sense of safety and acceptance seems to be gone. Please do better, JJ’s—your loyal customers and community deserve better. It saddens me but after this experience, I will not be back. There are many other day spa type business's who are with modern times and that understand that people, Women & Men can come in all shapes and sizes and even are inclusive and strive against racial bias and homophobia towards loyal, paying customers. Do better!

This is a traditional Korean scrub sauna spa. They offer three different scrub packages to choose from, depending on the level of treatment you want. If you prefer not to book a scrub, you can simply pay the $35 admission fee and enjoy the facilities, which include a charcoal room, infrared sauna room, salt room, cold room, wet sauna, and dry sauna. At the front desk, they provide two towels and a set of spa clothes. The overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing, making it a nice place to unwind. The traditional Korean scrub is quite unique — if you’ve never tried it before, it’s definitely an interesting experience worth trying at least once. One small suggestion would be to improve the cleanliness a bit more, as that would make the experience even better.

Normally I’d give it 3-4 stars, because it is definitely nice to have such treat in the area and the price was ok. I felt it is worth $15-20, but was ok with $25. With the recent price increase from $25 to $35 it is not justified at all. Before I went because it is close to home and affordable. I won’t be coming again due to the 40% price increase without putting anything new or fixing the facilities. I can see others are doing the same based on reviews. I am a part of large sauna loving Eastern Europe community and we share these locations with each other and now I will never recommend it. The Art of Sauna is 100 times nicer for only $15 more. If they fix their facilities or decrease price to $20 I will come back.

I booked this spa for my parents expecting a clean and comfortable family spa experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The facility was not clean at all, which made the experience uncomfortable and concerning. Additionally, despite advertising itself as a “family spa,” men and women were separated, which was not clearly explained beforehand and was not what we expected when booking. Cleanliness and transparency are very important, especially when booking for family members. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their standards.
