Mill Dam

Free to visit, there are no tickets. Good place to watch Salmon run Salmon were jumping high on the fish ladder. We could also see some vultures eating dead fish. Salmon are more active on a cooler day. They jump less on a sunny day. There are no washrooms available at this place. No Bench either.
This is a wonderful little spot right within the town of Owen Sound. I was lucky enough to see the tail end of the salmon spawning. The waterfall is extremely peaceful and the river beautiful. Parking is free but limited.
A quick stop on my road trip over the long weekend. A few salmon have started showing up, and it was fun to watch them at the dam. Peaceful spot with parking close by — worth a short visit!
We were lucky enough to catch the salmon migration—an absolutely stunning and unforgettable experience. The sheer motion and timing were awe-inspiring, and it made our visit truly special.
Nice little spot, great to sit down and enjoy the view, picnic table available, worth the trip if you are looking to do nothing. Parking is available, enjoy!
