Nature Space Resort & Retreat Centre

We had the most incredible stay at Nature Space Resort! Right from the start, Heather warmly invited us into the space, showed us the amenities, and talked us through the various activities on the grounds. You can tell she loves the land and the space - we felt honoured to share it with her. YURTS: Wow. I was unprepared for how special these amazing structures are. I felt like we could have survived a hurricane (the weather was gorgeous - not an issue!) while feeling cozy and safe. We loved laying in the (very comfortable) bed staring at the details of the yurt. They are both a demonstration of incredible engineering and a work of art. Heather & Jarrod have thought of everything you may need - from a small bar fridge in the room, coffee/tea station, air conditioning, right down to hooks for your towels post hot-tub. Pride of ownership shines through! We loved having a coffee or a glass of wine on our private deck watching the birds flitter about, and ending our evening with a hot-tub - sublime! I saw that one reviewer commented about a mild 'barn' odour in the yurt. Yes, there is one but we're talking a mild and pleasant "clean farm" smell not anything unpleasant -- didn't bother us in the least! FACILITIES: The shared kitchen is shared, yes, but this is not the shared kitchen space of university days! The Hub is absolutely gorgeous. Again, every single detail well thought out: from labelled fridge shelves (in a fridge so clean it looks sterile) that are yours alone, your own cupboards & dishes assigned to the yurt you're in, huge counter spaces, every possible kitchen tool you could need. You just need to show up - everything is there. Bathroom design is genius. There is one full bathroom with sink, toilet, shower & bath, then another with just a shower, then 2 others with just toilets, and then two sinks/vanities on their own. Result? Not having to wait to use the facilities. And wow - this place is immaculately clean. You'd have thought it was brand new. Like, I'm talking not even dust on the baseboards (better than my home!). I loved doing the water therapy that Heather talked us through (in addition to the written instructions in the yurt): hot tub, sauna, cold plunge or cold bucket... again, immaculately clean and beautifully designed. We also enjoyed walking through the meditative garden. By the second spiral, I felt myself relax and get into it. SO lovely! We didn't partake in any of the kayaking or trails on this trip, but we will on our next visit! (I also want to visit in the winter, because I'm guessing those yurts and the wood fire stoves in the winter are sublime.) LOCATION: Beautiful surroundings, a nice walk to a beautiful sandy beach that isn't plagued with large volumes of tourists (yes, we were tourists - lol) -- we actually had the entire beach to ourselves the day we visited! Short drive for amazing food truck restaurants, ice cream, groceries, tourist shops, and Julio's Seafood Market (which is an absolute must). Just, perfect. And if all that wasn't enough, this is also a family-owned resort. It is clear that Heather, Jarrod, and their two children love this place and pride of ownership shines through. I love that our money went to support a family & their dream rather than some business conglomerate. I could continue to write, but I wonder if anyone is still reading at this point! Want the TL:DR? Nature Space Resort & Retreat Centre is truly a special place. From the moment you arrive, you feel a sense of calm and grounding that’s hard to put into words. The natural surroundings are beautiful and thoughtfully integrated into the experience, making it the perfect setting to slow down, reconnect, and reset. Heather, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and kind, and it really shows in how thoughtfully everything is run. There’s a genuine care behind the experience that makes you feel comfortable and at home right away. The accommodations are clean, cozy, and designed to blend seamlessly with nature—quiet, peaceful, and restorative. A small but much-appreciated touch was the 24-hour access store, which was super convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. One of my favourite parts was the hot tub—so relaxing and peaceful, especially surrounded by nature. It was the perfect way to unwind and truly soak in the calm atmosphere of the retreat. Nature Space has a special energy to it. Whether you’re there for rest, healing, or simply to unplug, it feels supportive and grounding. I left feeling refreshed, re-centered, and grateful, and I would absolutely return. I highly recommend Nature Space Resort & Retreat Centre to anyone looking for a meaningful, peaceful retreat experience.

A Soul-Nourishing Experience at Summer Camp for Adults Attending the Summer Camp for Adults retreat at Heather and Jarrod’s Nature Space Resort was exactly what I needed. From the moment I arrived, I felt a deep sense of peace and welcome. The experience was thoughtfully crafted to help us unwind, reconnect with ourselves, and be present in nature. Each day offered the perfect balance of movement and stillness — energizing yoga, kayaking, nature walks, and even learning about oysters! Heather and Jarrod are the heart of it all — compassionate, attentive, and inspiring hosts. This retreat wasn’t just a getaway — it was good for the soul. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and deeply grateful. If you're looking to reset, connect with nature, and meet wonderful people in a truly healing environment, this is the place. Highly recommended!

We had a delightful stay. The yurts are wonderful and the common spaces are well thought out and very clean! The kayak tour up St. Peter’s Lake was delightful with so many birds (the Lesser Yellowlegs was my favourite). Great access to Greenwich, which is a logical day trip from there. Heather was a wonderful host. Our stay corresponded with the midpoint of our cycle tour around the island. We were running short on camp fuel and couldn’t find it anywhere. Heather graciously gave us her last camp fuel bottle and enabled us to get through the rest of our trip without having to deviate through Charlottetown to resupply. She is clearly a very considerate, thoughtful individual and a wonderful host. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend staying with them.

Amazing glamping experience. We stayed in the Kingfisher yurt and it was a great stay. The yurt had a lovely private outdoor area with hammock, picnic table, fire pit, deck, and hot tub. Being able to sit out each night in the hot tub was a highlight of the stay. The kitchen and shower/bath house was new, clean, and well appointed. We also got to enjoy the sauna followed by a cold plunge in the tub, and with the cold bucket. Staff was friendly and helpful. There were also a bunch of adorable hares on the property. The resort is also in a great location for biking the St. Peter's bay area of the confederation trail, and visiting the Greenwich dunes park. Highly recommend a stay!
