My husband and I booked a date night at the European Spa in Calgary, and it was an unforgettable experience! We’ve recently gotten into saunas and cold plunges, so we were excited to give this place a try. Although I was initially uncertain about the exterior and location, once we stepped inside, we were transported to a cozy, European forest-themed oasis with a slightly rustic vibe. The sauna here is truly exceptional—it’s known as the hottest in Calgary, and it definitely lives up to the reputation! The entire spa was spotless, which really put me at ease as someone who’s particular about cleanliness, especially in shared spaces. The whole experience felt authentic, like something you’d find in Finland or another European country. The new owners were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable throughout our visit. Overall, I would highly recommend European Spa. It’s a unique, rejuvenating experience that leaves you feeling completely relaxed. If you’re looking for a true European-style sauna experience, this is the place to go!

We booked this sauna for a group of 6 girls. It was amazing time spent in this sauna, and I have to say it’s the best place in Calgary. The owner is so friendly with his guests and answered quickly for all our questions. The space was tidy and clean, changing rooms had everything you need and even hair dryers what is important for girls especially with long hair. Sauna was already hot till our arriving and we just enjoyed it from the first minute being there. We brought with us some snacks, and there we could get hot and cold water for free. In the price of booking we had two towels and robe per person, which is nice cause u just come and enjoy your time there for your less efforts. Everything was done for a client. So I would recommend this place as my favourite sauna in the city!

We came as a group of four and had an amazing experience. Everything exceeded our expectations. The banya/sauna room itself is very spacious, and you can add extra water to make it even hotter, which we loved. Outside the sauna room they have a cold plunge barrel, plus showers and an ice-cold water dump (the small barrel you pull to pour cold water over yourself). It’s a great feeling after coming out of the heat. They also have a separate steam room, which was a nice bonus. There’s a large lounge/rest area with couches and a TV, so you can relax comfortably between sessions. We spent two hours there and the time flew by. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Oak Leaf Sauna was an amazing experience. Me and my girlfriend will be going there again on our next visit to Calgary. The customer service was top notch, they answered all our questions prior and during our visit and we had the place all to our selves which was great. The place was very clean, the sauna was great. I am looking forward to my next visit there for sure.

What a hidden gem! We booked in for a private session with 6 people, the owner Droshko was incredibly inviting and knowledgeable and made our experience extra special! If I lived locally, I would become a regular instantly! Thank you for having us!! The cold plunge is epic and I highly recommend getting the oak leaves as well!!
