Parklane Pool and Spa

Above ground pool install Start to finish, Steve Ledger was great to deal with. Steve guided us through the site prep and all preparation from pool permit to discussing equipment placement. He was attentive to our specific requests for which pool we wanted. He offered information and education to help us make informed choices with chlorine vs. salt system, if it would be compatible with our pool (yes because our pool is resin), electric vs. gas heater (we went with gas for its speed). We had Parklane do our electrical. Happy with their knowledge and install. Steve referred us to Wyatt of Blu-Flame for our gas line and Wyatt was also fantastic. Steve installed the concrete blocks and prepped the area for our equipment install. The crew on site were great. They were friendly, gave info during install, cleaned up the site meticulously, not a scrap of paper left behind. They worked together well. Did everything go without a single hitch? No. Did Steve make sure everything was done right and we were happy? Yes! To me it’s important how a company handles something unexpected that speaks to character and reliability. Steve provided excellent education. We are first time pool owners and we felt comfortable with his teaching. I think he should make a YouTube video of the teaching he gave us so customers could reference it after the initial teaching. Project was completed with pricing as quoted. Staff at the store are helpful with water samples and helping us as new pool owners get an understanding of how to keep our pool balanced. If staff are unable to address a concern, speak with Steve. He wants to make sure his customers are taken care of. Tip: ensure site drawings list not just the measurements required for permit, but also terms like “minimum distance” or “maximum distance” for where you want min and max distances between house/property line/retaining walls, etc. You could discuss this with one person on site prior to install, but have that person not be on site on install day.
I've been a customer for years but I will not return to this store again. After their mistake in selling me 16kg of calcium (less than the suggested amount of 20kg), I realized my calcium was way too high. Took a water sample in, confirmed my suspicions that they did our water sample incorrectly. People make mistakes, they apologized, said they would fix it. However not offering me a refund for chemical I bought that I did not need, the $ and time wasted draining 2+ feet of water outta my 18×36 ft pool and refilling it, I hoped for good news. I was told yes this new water sample was showing a great level of calcium. Lies!!! Took it to another Pool place to confirm, still at 420ppm when it should be at 200-300ppm. Will have to drain 2 more feet of water again. After asking for a refund for 1 of the containers of calcium and getting 2 bottles of descsaler for my water lines that will be damaged I am irritated that they don't care to honestly help me after they seriously damaged the chemical balance in my pool. Please acknowledge your customers when they walk in. It's just being polite and smart business. Also using a test strip to check water samples is unprofessional and clearly unreliable!
I recently purchased a hot tub from park lane pools and spas.Brian and the staff at park lane are amazing. They have taken care of any of my needs. They have walked me through issues that I had that were not their fault at all. One example would be dealing with water issues.Brian helped me workl through water issues and programming that I couldn't understand through the book the service was top notch, you don't get customer service like you do through park lane, pools and spas.So I highly recommend them and their prices are nice.Stop in talk to Brian talk to Gavin. They're great people. All the staff there are awesome. Thanks to all tge staff at Parklane, pools and spas, in kamloops.
Do not buy a tub from this company or use them to fix any pool or hot tub you own. They do not stand behind their products and they cannot even fix them. 3 times for the same leak and not fixed. Now they want me to get my tub to their shop to fix starting at $800 after I have already spent thousands. Absolute worst customer service in town. Why sell something you cannot fix? And why charge a customer for a job when you are not able to solve the problem. This tub started leaking right after I bought it and has been doing the same for the past 2 years.
They took really good care of us! So knowledgeable and professional, they arranged every step from crane delivery to permits to wiring-up my breaker. They also gave us very detailed and easy instructions for care and maintenance of the tub. They really know what they are doing. Excellent service! I love my new hot tub!!
