Riverside Spa

Disappointing and intrusive service – Unprofessional front desk staff. Coming from a high-stakes professional background in the Bay Area, I value efficiency and data privacy. This establishment failed on both counts. I visited Riverside Spa to purchase a gift card for my child’s teacher, expecting a professional experience. Instead, I was met with a hostile attitude. The receptionist aggressively demanded my private personal information for a simple over-the-counter transaction. When I politely declined—as is my right—she became visibly impatient and patronizing. Transactional efficiency: 0/10. Professionalism: Non-existent. It’s a shame that a place meant for relaxation is represented by someone so unprofessional. I will be looking elsewhere for my future gifting needs and would advise others to be wary of their intrusive data collection and poor service attitude.
I had my very first treatment (standard pedicure) just a few weeks ago. Didn't know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations for sure. The front staff, specific shout out to the absolutely delightly Asian young woman with the British accent, has a real ease, with customer service. She was warm, intelligent, friendly and spot-on with how to address the customer. She made me feel cared for throughout the transaction, even when the strap on my purse broke right in front of her, she had a natural way of "supporting" me that is often not taught, it just comes with empathy. And of course, the beautiful staff that did my pedicure was absolutely wonderful and thoughtful. My goodness I know I won't get her name right (Vanessa?). She too was warm and knew how to read my cues. I loved every moment in this spa, just wish I planned my day to stay longer!
My friend and I visited Riverside Spa in January to celebrate working as massage therapists for 20 years. It was a wonderful experience. As someone who is plus-size and tall, they had robes that fit me comfortably and sandals that fit well. The massage therapist that treated me (Josh) was fantastic, he listened to what I requested and gave me the massage exactly what I wanted and needed. It was so good that a month later I’m still thinking about how good this massage was. I definitely recommend getting a massage from Josh. He’s fantastic and the spa’s customer service is excellent. The lounge is very enjoyable as well.
I have been a guest of Riverside Spa for almost a decade. Every person, from employee to patron, has always been a pleasure to be around. I have had friendly conversations with many clients each visit. Their amenities always enrich my time. Last summer I was introduced to Josh. He was considerate and knowledgeable through the treatment. He became my only therapist. His deep tissue is amazing. I am reluctantly writing this review in fear of Josh becoming too busy to see me. Today was a rough day at work, and this session turned my day around immediately. I hope this helps anyone looking for a quality experience.
Today was my first time going to riverside spa and i was so blown away. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and attended to. The atmosphere is very calming and soothing. I enjoyed the lounge with a wide variety of drinks and snacks. The massage was very relaxing. I then had a facial and that was the best facial I ever had highly recommend Stephanie she went above and beyond to make me feel at ease . Will definitely be coming back and telling my friends and family thank you so much
