Rosewater Spa of Oakville

Upon retirement I received a $500. spa gift certificate. I did some research and decided to support local and booked a day at Rosewater, a package valued at $545. When I called to schedule the day I informed the receptionist that I had a gift certificate and she acknowledged that was fine. I was asked to complete a form for the massage, confirming which areas I wanted treated and level of pressure. This was not my massage experience, unsure why the form is required. Next up was lunch in the massage room, after I finished I sat alone for 35 minutes and eventually ventured out to locate someone to assist with moving on to the manicure and pedicure. I went to pay, produced my gift certificate, (accepted at majority of spa’s at a provincial level, including prestigious locations in Yorkville) and was informed that this gift certificate would not be accepted and my bill was $612. There were two ladies at the desk, I believe one was the owner, I was astounded and explained that I was not informed when I called to schedule the spa day that Rosewater only accepts their own gift certificates. Clearly they understood I was shocked and upset, but were steadfast and unapologetic or willing to offer any compensation or meet me in the middle. I had been looking forward to this day, a treat for me, but was robbed of the joy, based on my overall experience. Perhaps consider clarifying on the website and when people are scheduling appointments, the boundaries regarding gift certificates. It is unfortunate that the staff did not receive any gratuities, I anticipated spending ~$100., not $612.

I am a frequent patron of Rosewater. From the lovely ladies in the front to the therapists in the back, I have nothing but good words. Renata usually does my facials. She is incredibly amicable and always caters to my specific facial needs. Wendy does my deep tissue massages. I have many work-related postural issues which she always picks up on and treats me accordingly. I honestly always feel like I am being 100% catered to every time I’m there. I cherish my Thursday appointments at this incredible establishment and the hard working ladies that run it the way they do. There’s 1000 more convenient spas that I could go to, but I drive the distance to be treated here.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Rosewater Spa. The facial with Agnes and massage with Wendy were spectacular. They were both expertly done, deeply relaxing, and left me feeling completely refreshed. But the real standout for me was the steam room in the Grotto. The serene music and twinkling star lights in the ceiling created such a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. It felt like stepping into another world. Everything from the ambiance to the quality of the treatments felt thoughtful and elevated. I left feeling calm, renewed, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommended. Looking forward to a reprieve from this terrible weather 🥶
