Saltair Nordic Spa & Wellness

Really beautiful Nordic spa. Compared to the popular Sensea in Chester I found this well worth the extra drive. Beautiful location and very well-maintained amenities. I went during the weekday where my entry pass covered the full day. I didn’t find it very busy and was easy to get a seat in a sauna or a pool. The mask room was great and I also did an ad-on massage which I really enjoyed. The staff were incredible and all seemed to really enjoy their job. They also were actively walking around the property to ensure that rules were being followed, and I saw multiple times they were politely asking guests to whisper, which was really appreciated. Phones are not allowed in the spa. Note that cell phone signal is very poor in the area. Even if you are checking your phone in the locker I found you did not have any signal until you drove 10 minutes away. For emergencies there is Wi-Fi that you can access at the front desk if you ask. But be prepared to lose connection upon entry.

This was my first time going to Saltair. I brought a friend with me and we both had an awesome time. From the moment we walked in, the staff were so kind, professional, down to earth and organized. The check-in experience was very smooth, too. It is obvious that the staff care for one another which, in turn, trickles down to the guest experience. The buildings and the grounds were kept very clean and tidy throughout the day and, even though it was wild winter/snowy weather, they ensured that all paths were cleared. The cafe had some awesome food and drink options, along with incredible service by the people working there. The no-phone and whisper policies are great too. It was the perfect place to disconnect from our devices and to reconnect with nature and our bodies. Without hesitation, I recommend Saltair. We will certainly be back! Bravo! It was awesome! 👏 Our first time in Saltair. We had 3 hours - it was enough: to enjoy every sauna there, to relax in a hot pool with an ocean view, to enjoy the paraffin hand spa, and join to the sauna ceremony with ice balls filled with herbs. It was wonderful! 💫 From the very first step in to the last one - you are enjoying : comfortable and well-organized area, clean pools, extremely kind service, carefully designed client experience, incredible ocean view from every area and place you visited. You can feel care - how much attention put the owners to every client, every single detail in their journey. Every minute you sent there - you relax and enjoy, it's exactly it should be! I have been to Usva, Sensea, Nature Folk and would say Saltair is the best for a winter relaxation spa! I didnt mind the wind and the snow, it was like it's own cold plunge. The pathways should have been salted or made clear more often but the pools were clean, I got one to myself for almost an hour! I loved the hotter outdoor sauna and when the sky is clear it has a view of Cape Split. Probably a great spot to see northern lights too on a starry night. Rest and restore spots were great, Aveda mask was nice and light and the staff were helpful in every location, especially the cafe. Good, simple food available and they let us know Friday night pizza would be available. We will definitely be back, ai can imagine camping nearby and spending a blue sky afternoon at Saltair would be a dream come true!

What a perfect experience! Rarely do I feel fully relaxed (in any environment) so I ran here to give this spa five stars! Having experienced all the similar offerings in Nova Scotia, Saltair really stands out to me as something unique. It felt slow, unrushed, uninterrupted and the view truly grounded the entire experience. A view with vastness like this can truly define an experience where relaxation is at the core. The grounding meditation in the relax room was a highlight for me and the steam room brought me back to life. Can’t wait to be back and wading in those pools again soon. Ps. I’ve only been in winter but as a Nova Scotian I can’t imagine going any other time. It was truly winter mountain perfection.
