Sanctuary Day Spas Newmarket

I have been going to Sanctuary Day Spa in Newmarket since May of last year, and my experience has been exceptional every single time. Honestly, it’s a 10/10 for me. One of the first things I appreciate is how easy it is to visit. I can always find parking, which makes appointments stress-free from the start. The staff are incredibly welcoming and consistently greet you when you walk in. The waiting area is always fresh, clean, well stocked, and calming. From the moment you walk through the door, the atmosphere feels peaceful and relaxing. Something I’ve really noticed over time is how positive the work environment feels. Even the front desk staff are warm, engaging, and genuinely kind in the way they speak with clients and with each other. You can tell there’s a strong sense of teamwork and respect among the staff. On multiple occasions I’ve observed how supportive they are of one another. When Eva returned from vacation, everyone was genuinely excited to have her back, and that kind of positivity says a lot about the culture of the spa. When a team enjoys working together, it naturally carries through into the client experience, and you can absolutely feel that here. I have been receiving laser hair removal treatments with Eva, and she has been incredible throughout the entire process. Laser hair removal can be uncomfortable at times, but she is caring, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and provides so much value and information along the way. She carefully monitored my hair growth throughout my treatments to make sure the plan was working effectively and adjusted things when needed, which gave me a lot of confidence in the process. The spa uses top-quality machines, including a newer one that feels like a real upgrade. Eva would switch between machines depending on the treatment area, balancing comfort with effectiveness to make sure I always had the best experience possible. I purchased a six-treatment package covering multiple areas, and the pricing was excellent, honestly better than many options I’ve seen even in the city. Packages can be used over 18 months, but I completed mine in under a year, which is ideal based on hair growth cycles. At this point, I barely have any hair growth on my legs or underarms. It’s mostly maintenance now, and the results have been incredible. I will absolutely continue going back. They offer a wide range of treatments including facials, manicures, pedicures, and other wellness services. It’s worth noting that they focus on natural nail care only, so they don’t offer acrylics or artificial nails. If you’re looking for natural, high-quality care in a calm and welcoming environment, this is definitely the place. Highly recommend.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this spa in Newmarket and would not return. During my massage, I repeatedly asked for higher pressure. The therapist told me she was already using the maximum pressure she could provide and that I should have booked a deep tissue massage instead. This was frustrating, because when I booked over the phone, I was never asked about pressure preference or massage type. At other spas, I’ve never had to specifically book deep tissue to receive adequate pressure. The massage simply did not work for me, and I had to stop halfway through. The therapist said she informed the front desk and that they would “handle it.” Instead, I was left waiting over 30 minutes in a cold, uncomfortable room while waiting for my husband. The spa temperature was unreasonably low and added to the discomfort. At checkout, instead of an apology or acknowledgment of the situation, the front desk casually asked, “How was everything?” Given that I had just stopped a massage halfway through, this felt completely tone-deaf and honestly insulting. No apology was offered, no effort was made to accommodate or resolve the issue, and I was still charged $104 for a service I did not receive in full and was clearly unhappy with. Later, when my husband called to express our disappointment, the response was even worse. Rather than apologizing or taking responsibility, they focused on criticizing my “attitude.” Again—no apology, no accountability, no customer care. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them matters. This spa showed zero professionalism, empathy, or willingness to make things right. I would not recommend this place to anyone expecting quality service or respectful treatment.
Fabulous. I have been looking for a place in the area that does manicures and pedicures but doesn't offer assembly line service. This is the place. I stopped by 3 weeks ago to see if they could accommodate my mother and myself and to check out the cleanliness and atmosphere. I had some concerns about stairs for my mother and, was immediately shown a room that was on the main floor that could accommodate both of us. Decided to book both Luxe manicure and Luxe pedicure for both my mother and I. Today was the day and oh my goodness both Eva and Olena where fantastic. They took care of both of us and paid a little more attention to my mother which I greatly appreciated. We had a fabulous experience and booked our next pampering day on our way out. No high pressure sales to buy extra, just great conversions and laughs. From the person who spoke to me weeks ago (sorry I forgot her name) right up until checkout today we had an amazing time. I would recommend you give this place a try if you are looking for something with a lot more to offer than your current place. You wont be disappointed.
Went to the spa Saturday Feb 7th with my gf who was in from out of town. I booked a pedicure for myself which for 86$ was a complete rip off, I definitely get a better pedicure from my girl at the 404 Plaza in Newmarket. The technician barely scrubbed my feet and the massage was basically her going up and down my calf once or twice. My gf had a manicure and was cut and I only found out about her being cut because she is too polite to have told me at the time. She too said for the amount of a “luxe” manicure, it wasn’t worth the money and I wouldn’t have paid for her manicure let alone leave a tip. Overall, the atmosphere is quite nice and the front entrance staff are pleasant but my advice, save your money and don’t waste your time coming here, RIP OFF and my gf wasn’t offered anything as a result of her finger being cut. So unprofessional. Very disappointed.
Very professional, clean, welcoming, calming, relaxing environment, friendly staff, knowledgeable and skilled professionals, and just an overall positive experience at Sanctuary Spa. Olena was very kind and took good care of me during my Luxe Mani and pedi, it was a great experience to have at 39 weeks pregnant. She really made me feel pampered and special. They also provide coffee, tea and a little biscuit during, before or after your treatment and it was a nice touch. Thank you for a great visit, I have been a returning customer for many years and have had massages, facials, Mani, pedi, waxing and a few other treatments that I enjoyed.
