Sento Spa

Amazing spa with a few (easily fixable) flaws. Like other say, this place is beautiful and has everything you need. The setting is gorgeous and we loved the spa facilities. The one big downside is that the staffing seemed chaotic. We were there on a slow day, with few people, but even then, and unlike Strom, they don’t have someone walking around making sure folks are respecting the silent atmosphere. That can be forgiven. But after eight hours we learned the reasons why - the staff talked the loudest out of everyone there! We had to leave the quiet rooms in the main building just to get away from all the noise from the staff yakking away. Perhaps management should send the staff to a day at Strom or Nordik to learn how beneficial silence is. People don’t go to thermal spas to hear loud talking. What was another major issue was the food experience. They ask you to select what you want first thing and pay for it then and there. I get that ordering food ahead of time makes sense, and ensures you get lunch at the time you want. But what ended up happening was if we wanted to order something additional after that, they kept asking us to go get our credit card and pay for it right then and there. Why don’t you just take our credit card at the beginning of the day and charge us for everything at the end? It made us hesitate to order tea towards the end of the day and it felt like we were being treated like bar patrons. On top of that, you cannot take your drink outside (unlike at Strom and everywhere else). We also had three different servers who did not coordinate and spent a lot of time ignoring people trying to flag them down from their tables (and it’s a super small dining room!). It’s sad that a beautiful place with impeccable facilities is lacking onsite management to run a tight ship. We might go back as the price is half of Strom, but will likely bring earplugs and won’t eat anything.

I am an avid spa goer. I decided to try this spa after several recommendations from a friend. Knowing that that was smaller spa going in I might of been a bit baisis. The first out spa we wanted to get in was not very clean lots of dirt and debris this was the individual spas. We opt for the bigger spa with bubbles. This was the worst spa I ever sat in. E didn't realize until we sat in the corner that it was so much foam and it was so dirty it made my skin itch. I did see a guy constantly checking the pool quality so I don't know how that did not read on his testing. The salt cave was the only good and unique thing in my opinion. I did soend a lot of time in there. The hamma was very hot and good but it could of used some kind of essential oils. Im glad I got to try it but would not return.

Plus side: The place is clean. The steam bath was very pleasant. Pretty environment. Not too busy on a Saturday morning. Minus side: Annoying motor noise in the "Salt room". 3 out of the 6 baths were too cool. Jets on all the small wooden tubs did not work. Bean bags in the yourte need a deep cleaning. The women's lockerroom feels cramped with a single toilet and only 2 shower stalls. It is ill-equipped: no toiletry samples available, limited space for bags, no water bottles. The $9 fee for a robe is too high (robe not included in the spa fee).

I absolutely loved the quaintness and serenity of Sento Spa, nestled in the small and pretty town of Breakeyville, Quebec. An simple and easy bus from Saint Romuald, Quebec that took approximately 35-45 minutes and an opportunity to view the small towns en route. The spa itself is very clean and quiet. Not your usual resort spa, with dozens of people. Sento Spa is more personal, quieter and made of stone and wood, in a Victorian villa and is surrounded by nature - a true haven for a thermal experience.

A beautiful Victorian house that has a Japanese accent, a time to resource,renew ,relax with different station to experiment. Time for something to eat they have available from 11 to 2 pm delicious healthy choices or even teas with snack to enjoy. Looking to try something different, a hidden gem!
