The unwelcoming feeling started with the receptionist invited the customer came after us to check-in before we do! :( In the attached photo, we are the first customer arriving at the Strøm spa. After we patiently waited in the massage line for 10 minutes (as we have a massage <30 mins, would like a faster check-in to meet the appointment time), the regular check-in line had a customer walked in. The receptionist immediately invited the customer came after us to the front desk! This practice is surreal/abnormal/unprofessional/bizarre? I walked to the receptionist and kindly reminded her that we were there first. No apologies was made, in fact, silence was the feedback. The customer was nice enough to back off and let us to check in first. The receptionist was again silence, no greeting, no Hi or Bonjour, just stared back at me, is this how a customer should be treated at a namely highly upscaled spa? Did I also mention the towel rack is always empty, don’t expect a dry towel whenever you needed them; the robe rack is always full, gotta wait in the cold for a space to hang your robe; pool interior is slimy and slippery, haven’t experienced this in other spa so it might need some good scrub. Last thing, don’t order their spa package as the items listed inside the package are misleading. The package indicated customers can ‘pick’ two items from ‘Art of living’ and ‘Spa essentials’, and yes, they are two dollar-store water bottles :) so don’t expect too much! The package value does not add up! Overall, this place does not worth the ticket price and you won’t get the best experience.

It was truly a magical night, the perfect end to an unforgettable day. At that time, Quebec was far colder than Ontario, wrapped in a deeper kind of winter. I had spent the whole day wandering through Quartier Petit Champlain, losing myself in its charm. After a lovely dinner, I made my way here. The place was bustling, yet somehow, I got in without a wait. Nothing about the evening was planned—I simply followed feeling. Inside, still a little disoriented, I took a random locker near my changing room, not even noticing the number. Perhaps it was fatigue, or maybe I was already half-dreaming. It took me nearly half an hour just to undress, fold, and arrange my things—an unhurried ritual before the experience ahead. Then the journey began. I was completely entranced by the scenery—steam rising in gentle white waves, born from heat and cold meeting midair, making us feel as though we were floating. The resting area had hammocks and smooth rocks beneath our feet, blurring the lines between dream and reality. Beyond that lay the sauna rooms—the second one opening into a peaceful lounge, overlooking a glowing pool radiating crimson steam. It felt like standing between worlds. I stayed for only two and a half hours, yet it was enough to explore every corner. Each space was immaculate, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful. The staff, warm and attentive, added a quiet grace to the experience. Here, you are not simply living—you are being, resting, and thriving. When I stepped out, I felt renewed, as though I had come back to myself after a long and gentle journey ❤️

What a beautiful experience! I spent 10 hours there and still felt like I could’ve been there longer! I had the ultimate day that started with a massage, enjoyed the facilities, and then ended with a body wrap & facial. If I did it again I’d opt for just 1-2 services. The facilities were incredible! I recommend walking around and getting a feel for it all. Tip: take a picture of the map when you get there… many people don’t go downstairs. It’s amazing! Loved the infrared room. As far as the complaints go — go on a day that’s less crowded. I went on a Monday and it was amazing. The restaurant was incredible too! So delicious! Also, make a reservation. I kept thinking “why are there bad reviews?” Lastly, I saw reviews about being surprised at check out — they do add the state tax to all services. (in America services aren’t taxed… I’m assuming that’s what people were surprised by) Be informed and prepared and you’ll have a wonderful time. I’ve been to a dozen thermal spas around the world… Strom includes so much for the entry price that others either don’t have or it’s an add on. I was really impressed by that. Can’t wait to go back!

The absolute best experience! Everyone who likes spas should come here (or don’t so we can keep it private and not too crowded 😅) There is a good reason why this spa is the best in Canada, the whole experience from the moment you enter is relaxing and perfect. I love that there are so many pools to choose from both inside and outside. Many different saunas too with the wet sauna, dry sauna, and red light sauna. The layout is perfect with cold pools next to the saunas so regardless which sauna you’re at you can go to a cold dip right away and having the two timers in the dry sauna is a great added touch so we can see how long we have been in there without having to look at a clock. The lazy river is a fun but relaxing part that I didn’t realize I was going to enjoy as much as I did. Thank you to the owners for creating this space for the public to come and enjoy!

This was my first time visiting Strom Spa in Old Quebec and I’m so glad I did! If you’re on the fence based on other peoples reviews, just do it! You won’t regret it! I do recommend going early though. I booked a 0830am time slot which was great however the baths don’t open until 0900am so there was a bit of waiting but I took this opportunity to read some of my book and begin to relax. I stayed until 11/1130 and it was starting to get quite busy then. But up until that point, the property is so spread out and has so many gems and areas to check out, that I never felt overwhelmed or over crowded. The one area I didn’t get to try though was the infrared bed relaxation area as there are only 6 beds and they were occupied every time I checked. This was such a magical experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for some rest and relaxation.
