The Lost Faucet Sauna House

This is an absolute hidden gem in the Comox Valley. I would describe this place as a mix between a self guided spa & a health/well-being investment to yourself. The facility is easily accessible for anyone to visit, and offers everything you would expect to have at a top notch sauna house in any major European city. Lisa (the owner) is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and does a phenomenal job keeping the place ultra clean & adhering to strict covid-19 protocols. The products which Lisa has curated for the experience are all legitimate and authentic, such as Swedish/Finnish/Icelandic soaps, Russian clay masks, high quality Japanese essential oils, dried birch bundles, felted banya hats, and so much more. As someone who has travelled a lot, and been to saunas in Scandinavia, Hungary, Russia, Asia, and the South Pacific - the lost faucet brings back wonderful memories of my experiences abroad.

My Wife and I had a private booking at the spa yesterday. This was our first time at a European Style Sauna House. It was such a fun time! We arrived and Lisa gave us a warm welcome and our introduction/education to the experience to come. The space is really cool and concept well thought out with lots of space to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Extra points for using recycled and repurposed materials while still keeping with the desired aesthetic and cleanliness you'd expect in a spa. We did the full session from sauna to cold bucket, including Aufguz and Vannick treatment.....Highly Recommended!!! I have never felt so relaxed and had the best nights sleep in years! If you are ever in the area I highly recommend going to see the team at the Lost Faucet you will not be disappointed.

We did "The Nook" private sauna and really enjoyed the Hot + Cold plunge combo. We were somewhat disappointed by the privacy during the 2 hours as there was a gentleman who was operating some sort of shop right beside the sauna who was walking back and forth through our "private" area multiple times. He also had a dog (very cute and sweet) that was running around throughout the 2 hrs. There were also a couple of other men who circulated through the area. Overall a great experience but it felt a little like a sauna located in a industrial park.

This is good. You should definitely do it. And you should definitely stay in there for the Aufguss. Whole thing, no chickening out. Sorry if that’s now considered offensive to chickens but you know what I mean. There’s a performative aspect to it. Vibes. Bergamot infusions yo. If I lived here, I’d be in here every day to the point where they’d probably get pretty annoyed by me.

Support small business! Love the west coast look of this place, not trying to imitate a full European experience. If you’re a party of 5+ people looking for a nice sauna experience up in Courtney then look no further, every other place seems to only support up to four people at a time. Staff and facilities were both awesome, hoping to return in the future!
