BE AWARE OF HIDDEN FEES. Terrible experience. I came home very upset because I was over charged for a service they did not provide. I booked a pedicure online and nowhere In the details it says that removing the old polish would cost 20 dollars. As soon as I got ready for the pedicure they told me the cost of removing the nail polish. I asked why the charge? and she said it's because it takes time to remove the polish. I was shocked because in all the years I've been getting pedicures no one ever charged me for removing the old polish off. I had the discussion with the manager about enclosing that information online so people are aware of this but she couldn't care less about it. I agreed to pay and continued with the pedicure only to find out they do not use a drill to take the old polish off, they do it the old fashion way and it took over 20 minutes for her to remove the polish. Twenty minutes of the hour I was booked for, and needless to say she didn't do the job she was suppose to, AND I PAID AN EXTRA 20 DOLLARS. The cost for a 35 minute pedicure???? 108 dollars. Disappointed to say the list. Last spring I was there again for a pedicure and the girl would not turn on the little fan to dry my nails, it was an extra cost as well. That is another thing they do not enclose on their website and I'm sure there're more. I thought I'll give them another chance, but it was a mistake.
I would recommend going to any spa but THE URBAN SPA! The day of my Brazilian in their office I booked for a maintenance appointment. Then they changed it to a full Brazilian without my knowledge. I cancelled for personal reasons and because of the dishonesty and to be clear within 48 hours! I was given 3 options for the cancelation even though I was within the time frame to cancel or I would be charged. So I chose to keep my appointment. I was then told that for explaining myself about this being a maintenance not a full Brazilian I was accused of making their staff cry!!? All I did was share the facts and explain myself. I am a mother of 3 and have a right to suggest that if a staff “ Carly” booking day of my original appointment wasn’t aware of the timing to book a Brazilian maintenance that this should certainly be their staff member’s mistake not mine. Instead I was told I would not be charged and to take my business elsewhere. Any business that cannot accept an error is not honest and isn’t a good one. I am happy to take my business elsewhere and wouldn’t be caught dead there again in their tiny spa that makes you feel uncomfortable anyways.
Doesn't look like much on the outside but they know what they are doing inside. Very calming when you go inside and I haven't been so relaxed for a long time. I had a Swedish massage and the Urban facial and there are no words to describe how amazing it was. I had Nick for my massage and my facial from Sarah. They were professional but personable as well as fun to chat with. They made you feel comfortable and relaxed in the capable hands. Sarah described each process of the facial so you knew what to expect. For someone who has never had a facial before I really enjoyed it and would recommend for some who is just starting out. And Nick's magic hands loosened all the tight spots. Thanks again and I definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming here again soon. Julie Hendsbee
Went to Urban Spa because my usual place was booked and had heard good things! I went for a gel manicure on Saturday (it’s now Tuesday) with a couple of girlfriends. Although the aestheticians were all lovely, the quality of work was severely lacking for my manicure. I have two chipped nails, fuzz that was cured into my nail and dents in some of the others. To top it off, it was over $70 before tip. My girlfriends enjoyed their services, but did not realize the added fee to add gel polish for pedicures was $19 (!) and their services totalled over $100 before tip. Overall, we were very disappointed and won’t return.
Fantastic. Ive gotten many massages due to the physical demand of my job. I will be returning. Nick did a great job, i felt like a marshmellow afterward. He made sure to focus on spots that needed it most, and provided some great information about how the muscles work. I highly recommend. I sadly forgot to ask for my technicians name that did my pedicure but she was also fantastic. Great work, couldnt be happier. I have already booked my next visit, and am so happy ive found my new go to place for treating myself !
