Wonderful experience from start to finish! The entire set up is absolutely beautiful. Such a wonderful atmosphere and location it was beyond perfect. Nestled in the forest it truly feels like an escape from reality for a small moment in time, while enjoying the amenities offered. Booked it with friends and it was perfect to have the privacy to catch up with each other. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful setting was a perfect reset. The 2.5hr timeline was perfect and felt as though we had just the right amount of time and didn’t feel rushed or like it wasn’t enough time to enjoy. Was perfect! The owners are absolutely wonderful people, very kind and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about booking, will be back again !

My wife and I went for a pre-Christmas getaway. Was not disappointed. Greeted warmly by our host and escorted to the cabin. When we got there, the sauna was up to temp, outdoor fireplace stoked and ready to go, ice bath ready, music playing and all our amenities at hand. Added bonus (and I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing) but there was a wood fire hot tub also at the site. What a terrific set up! Host walked us through the full process and areas of safety to be mindful of…and then gave us our space. He circled back occasionally to ensure all the fires were going as they should. A bottle of sparkling juice was also there. We got a mild winter day so we never actually sat in the cabin portion but it also looked lovely. Highly, highly recommend and we certainly plan on returning.

Best Experience Ever!! I found this gem on google maps and traveled from MN just to experience Wilderness Retreat- it was worth every moment! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank You! From the minute I pulled up, I was in awe of how beautiful and peaceful the area was. I was greeted by Penny the cute dog. It was a cold/hazy morning which I think added to the experience. It was lovely standing by the fire all snug and warm in the robe they provided. Do the cold plunge! You may hate it at the moment, but you’ll feel fabulous when warming up with a cup of tea in the relaxation room! Thank You everyone at Wilderness Retreat for making my day/weekend!! I am already planning my next retreat! 😊

Celebrated my moms birthday here. Incredible hospitality and spa. Sauna is amazing and the room and gift basket was lovely. First time trying an ice plunge, managed to do it halfway. The manager went above and beyond expectations. I literally forgot my swimsuit and he not only researched a place close by for me, but also called to ask if they carried swimwear this time of year. The camping style of this spa is incredibly nostalgic and everything was clean. Tea is amazing and I can’t wait for it to be on sale!

We spent the morning here in early May and it was amazing! Very peaceful and relaxing with a more private experience than your typical spa. The staff were very friendly and kind. It was a rainy day when we went which was awesome to sit in the hot tub, hearing the crackling of the fire and the rain drops on the leaves in the woods. I would highly recommend this retreat to couples, friend groups or even just a getaway for yourself.
