Anna Thermal Baths

This is a lovely Thermal Bath which mainly focuses on wellness and medicinal use of water. There are a lot of pools for various use, for instance a deep pool, a pool with medicinal water, a jacuzzi, a massaging pool, a “fun pool”, pool for small children and a pool for swimming. There is Finnish sauna, infra sauna, aroma sauna as well. There are sun beds outside for you to enjoy the sunshine in between dipping in the various pools. There is a good court and they sell snacks, drinks and food items for a reasonable price. They aware open all da and you can also get a ticket for night bathing and occasionally there are parties there with live music. We got the day ticket for 1400 HUF per person which is incredible comparing to the baths in Budapest. If you go on a weekday you won’t find too many people there and the ones using the pool are mainly of the older generation so the atmosphere is good for relaxation. The interior is a special thing in itself and if you like architecture than this place will be a treasure just by itself. If you are looking for a water park where you can enjoy things like water slides or play with balls in the water then this place is not for you. The only thing I would have liked is if they have at least one outside pool, but as I say, it is a very amazing value for the money you pay.

Pros: A perfect, thoughtful blend of old and new: a sympathetically restored grand building with all modern facilities and amenities. Enough thermal pools, saunas, and water jets to keep you entertained the whole day. Meticulously clean and hygienic. The interior alone is such a joy to behold with all period trimmings lovingly restored. Everything works the way it should: the jacuzzis, the saunas, the steam bath, etc. A beautifully laid out patio for suntanning. Good thermal water. Very friendly staff. Not too busy overall, so good for relaxation. Overall, one of the best thermal spas we’ve been to. Cons: No information in English whatsoever. The saunas could do with a spot of essential oils. Separate changing rooms for men and women would be better than one mixed gender one.

The baths were renovated not long ago to great effect. I’m a huge fan of art nouveau baths and Anna did not disappoint. From the wonderful pool with vaulted sky light to the range of heated pools including some particularly special medicinal green pools, I loved the whole experience. The staff were also the most friendly I found in Hungary and it was extremely clean. One of my favourite baths in Hungary architecture and pools wise!

Perfect place to spend peaceulful and quality time in Szeged. I have decided to visit this place instead of local thermal/spa centre to avoid crowd. You don't need to book in advance as somebody mentioned in one if the comments. Don't forget to bring your own towel, slippers and swimming suit. The entrance ticket is 4.000 HUF ~ 11 Eur ~ 1 300 RSD. They speek English and the stuff is so polite.

Nice place, enjoyable! This is our first time here, we didn't know that you can't just drink anywhere. I should add that we didn't drink in the pool. A very cute lady who works here told us that we should either go back to the bar for a drink or we could get tired from the bath. What can I say, it's not a pleasant welcome :)
