Fenyves Víz

Such an unassuming place... If you don't know where it is 😉 coming from Fenyves, park on the left at the 159 marker; coming from Mariafürdő, park on the right. From there, a footpath leads into the meadow, perhaps 100-200 meters. It's easy to find, as there's nothing else there. The surrounding area is a large nature reserve and must not be entered. First, you smell it and hear it bubbling... And then you're standing in front of this small, warm spring.

The water tastes surprisingly good, slightly carbonated (with a medicinal water smell). There would be potential in bottling it. You don't have to expect much from the experience itself, but I was completely captivated by the background history of the well and the area. And thanks to the owner of the area for making it easy to get there in a short distance and not closing off this small area

If you're in the area, you can make a quick stop here. At kilometer marker 159 (small green signs on the side of the road), simply pull over onto the shoulder and follow the small path – about a 2-minute walk. The hot thermal water comes directly from the ground. I think it's a shame that the place is so poorly maintained. It would be good to know the water quality.

Warm water comes out of the tap. It smells a bit like sulfur compounds; I tried a sip: it's drinkable, slightly carbonated. What a waste! Something was built here at some point, but apparently never finished.

Warm thermal water seaps to the surface in the middle of a meadow and flows away to the nirvana. Leave your car at the 159 km sign and walk in the field to south approx 100 Meters from the main road.
