Herend Porcelain Museum

Amazing experience. The "mini-factory" tour was an awesome opportunity to see up close how porcelain is made and decorated. Its certainly worth a day trip from Budapest. The factory store may not offer any discounts, but they have an unrivalled selection, which is itself amazing to see. I wish that I had more time, as I was not able to spend much time in the museum, but what I did see, was very interesting.

The Manifactory tour is very interesting and the people are very nice and friendly but unfortunately you can't buy a ticket to the manifactory without purchasing a ticket to the museum. The museum was ok, there was a very cool game where you could design your own porcelain plate on a screen. The cafe was very fancy and perhaps a bit overpriced but the tea and cakes were delicious.

An absolutely amazing and breathtaking experience. It’s a MUST SEE for anyone who appreciates exquisite porcelain and detailed works of art. They show you step by step how Herend porcelain is made, explaining the finest details. The Porcelain Museum is also a must see where you can view the treasure trove of Herend’s finest throughout history. If you’re in the area don’t miss it!!

It is a nice exhibition with beautiful porcelain from the different ages of the factory. The porcelains are real masterpieces, and the whole museum is very nicely managed. For me, it could be even bigger and with more details of the history (the museum can be finished in 40-45 minutes). Otherwise, I highly recommend this place!

Our visit was in November, so the museum was closed to visitors, everywhere was empty. Only the porcelain shop was open, very large selection of goods, also serves as a showcase of all types of porcelain that are available here:) Definitely worth a look. The museum is a shame that it only works in season.
