Lussonium Romkert

One of the gems of the Limes. It is very commendable that families with children were taken into account when restoring the area, and a children's playground is located immediately to the right after the entrance. This was a very good idea in my opinion. The wooden towers of the northern gate serve as both an entrance and a lookout. Through these, you can enter the former camp area, which actually resembles an elongated rectangle. A tree-lined walkway in the middle leads to the most preserved and restored southern entrance area for visitors. Under the trees, you can see the various stations of the excavations and drawings of the buildings that stood here. The QR code website gives even more information about the place to curious history buffs. A must for Roman era fanatics!😀

A must for anyone who loves Roman history. There are information boards with historical descriptions. The gate is of course a reconstruction, but the view is nice if you go up to the "tower". Otherwise, it is nice and clean. There is a Roman-style playground for children. It is worth leaving the car in the parking lot and walking up on foot.

Lovely and quiet place with some stunning views of Hungarian countryside. The only ancient part which left standing I guess is a part of the stone wall facing the entrance, everything else is a modern reconstruction. There's also a nice Roman styled playground for kids.

Nicely kept place with a beautiful view. It is a short walk from the parking lot. The information boards have been damaged by the sun and are difficult to read.
