The road to Ràclamàs was also pleasant, getting to Ràclamàs was surprisingly fast and smooth from Budapest. The town itself was full of surprises, the town had prepared a significant number of pumpkin installations for the pumpkin festival taking place there. It is true that the scenes popularizing the visual terror of Bogyó and Babóca were overdone, but there were also many other fantasy creations to see. My personal favorite Hullahopp is "Tökhalott". Then the town suddenly ran out, giving way to the sandy Danube branch. In the absence of one and a half meters of water, under the post-apocalyptic rust-eaten steel bridge, the surprisingly fast-flowing water almost melted into a ravine. After the easy walk in the forest, it is refreshing to soak in it. The forest is wonderful, lush, authentic, unexploited. Lightning-struck tree trunks, fallen tree corpses, sprawling undergrowth of all kinds. And almost no people. As a bonus, you can cross to the great Danube, on barely existing, wildly romantic paths. A sign warns those who like to be scared that it can be dangerous to deviate from the designated path, the mother of the spoiled wild pigs was in an irritable mood recently. I must also mention General Mosquito's 4 billion air force. As soon as we entered the target area, we were immediately attacked by kamikaze mosquito swarms and this did not change during the entire journey. Of course, we are the losers who were surprised by all this in a floodplain forest, so we were forced to leave with two liters of blood loss.

8 km. is the distance if you want to walk around the entire island. Car parking at the foot of the bridge. The road is good, both for bicycles and pedestrians. In some places you can see the water, bays and from the bridge there is a nice view of the Danube branch. The educational trail, bird watching place, and rest area in the area are extremely neglected and incomplete.

Despite the beautiful natural environment, the nature trail is unkempt and unorganized. In recent years, we have visited many national nature trails, popular ones as well as places where birds do not even visit... None were so neglected. The information boards, the built environment... Everything is in decline.

One of my favorite places in the area. It's not the most well-maintained, but I like that. The insects and birds are pretty good. You need boots after heavy rains, and sometimes the "crowd" gathers on weekends. It's quieter on weekdays.

A magical series of ponds on the island! Fairytale! However, according to the locals, it is a "very ticklish" place. I should be prepared for it!
