Spa Velence

After reading the latest reviews, I was a little unsure whether we were making the right choice, but since my family had been to this spa before and had a particularly positive experience, I thought we would give it a try. We didn't regret it! The spa was clean, the number of guests was just right, there was no crowding at all in the pools, the relaxation areas, or the saunas. The experience elements are switched on so often that everyone can try them all to their heart's content. The only thing that was somewhat disappointing was the restaurant/buffet, but this cannot be blamed on the spa, I think it is run by an external company. The prices would assume a certain standard, but unfortunately the food was just below the edible level. However, there are no complaints about the service and cleanliness. I honestly don't understand all these negative reviews, we have been to many spas and I am basically quite critical, especially when it comes to cleanliness, but I found nothing to complain about here.

The worst price/value ratio of any thermal spa we've visited so far. It took about half an hour to get in, and there was only one girl at the reception who was struggling with the rush of pensioners waiting for it to open. The water might have been warm enough to drink, but it was cold to swim in all the pools, as was the air temperature. The "medicinal water" pools probably saw medicinal water for the last time when they listed its composition. Neither the smell, color, nor taste of it indicated thermal water, it seemed like lukewarm tap water. Perhaps the saunas alone knew as much as a sauna should know, hence the two stars. In summary: we were here twice, the first and the last time.

They didn't respond to emails for two days before departure, and it took a long time and several attempts to reach them by phone. One main receptionist is not enough to check in and out. The water didn't drain in the bathroom, the wifi was very weak. It's practical that you can go to Chef' Bistro in a bathrobe, although it does "suffer" a bit on the wallet. The children's programs are excellent, the staff is mostly nice and helpful. We experienced cleanliness everywhere.

The outdoor pools are not open during the winter. The layout of the pools is impractical, they also like to save money by operating the experience elements. It only opens at 10 am. Sometimes you have to wait a long time at the ticket office to get in, even with a pass. However, the entrance fee is very expensive. I cannot recommend it wholeheartedly. It is clean, but that alone is not enough.

Not sure about the hotel as we only went to the spa but the pools are a lot smaller than in the pics. The water was absolutely freezing, the whole place looks bland and in dire need or refurbishment. The restaurant is overpriced and the food was terrible. Also, watch out for prices, as entry costs a lot more during peak season especially considering what the spa has to offer.
