Szegzárd

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Szekszárd – Unforgettable Stay! We had the absolute pleasure of spending five nights at Szegzárd The Lodge, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into an oasis of tranquility, surrounded by breathtaking vineyards and nature. The accommodation itself was beautifully designed—combining modern elegance with rustic charm. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, from the high-quality furnishings to the cozy ambiance that made us feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and offered stunning views of the surrounding landscape. One of the standout features of our stay was the hospitality of Peter, the host, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. He made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. His warmth and attentiveness truly made a difference. A true highlight of our trip was the massage we booked at the lodge—it was hands down the best we have ever had! The therapist was incredibly skilled, creating a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience. After long days of driving and exploring , it was exactly what we needed to unwind. For relaxation, the lodge offers a Finnish sauna and a jacuzzi with strong jets, perfect for easing tired muscles. The entire wellness area was a fantastic addition to our stay, making it feel even more like a luxurious retreat. For those traveling with dogs, the fully fenced-in, huge outdoor area was an absolute dream! Our two dogs had plenty of space to run and explore safely, making this the perfect destination for pet owners looking for a stress-free getaway. The location was ideal—peaceful and secluded yet just a short drive to Szekszárd’s renowned wineries and attractions. There were also fantastic hiking trails nearby, perfect for enjoying nature and taking in the beautiful countryside. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the well-equipped kitchen and the overall attention to detail that made our stay seamless and relaxing. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet cozy retreat in Szekszárd, Szegzárd The Lodge is an absolute must! We cannot recommend it highly enough and will certainly be returning in the future. This place is an island of tranquility. The greatest attention is paid to even the smallest details. Comfort and luxury at its best. The kitchen is 100% equipped with the best possible appliances. The owners get extra points for the wine cooler in the kitchen. There is no lack of attention, I personally really liked the prepared card games, fitness equipment and books/magazines that satisfy everyone's interests. The scent of the shower gel/shampoo and conditioner is brilliant, as is the room air freshener that can be felt throughout the house all day. I also particularly appreciate that the sauna also has high-quality essential oils prepared in advance for those wishing to enjoy wellness. The E-bike program option is also great, we were able to safely visit countless places with it, starting from the Szurds to the various sights of Szekszárd. We also tried Private Dining with Michelin-starred Chef Petra Tischler, who put together a sensational menu for us. In these few days, we had a real wine and gastronomic experience here, while we could relax in our luxurious house and the wellness area that meets all our needs. We recommend it to everyone wholeheartedly, even with children or as a couple! 5 stars!
I live in Budapest and wanted a quick getaway for a couple of days. I found this place about two hours away, and it turned out to be a great choice. From the moment I booked, the check-in instructions were super clear. The place itself is beautiful — the design is simple yet stylish, and everything was well-equipped and thoughtfully prepared. I especially loved the barbecue area and the jacuzzi — both added a really nice touch to the stay. And the view… absolutely stunning. It’s the kind of view you can just sit and enjoy for hours. There are so many small details around the place that make it feel special. You can tell a lot of care was put into it. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for a peaceful, relaxing break away from the noise of daily life. Would definitely come back.
Luxurious getaway with great gastro experience and much needed quite and relaxation. The Grand Lodge with its adjacent room is just what you need for two couples. The facilities are excellent: pool, jacuzzi, sauna, all with a view. The outdoor BBQ kitchen is very cosy but functional. The main house is also well equipped and the Scandinavian inspired design is spot on with the huge windows that open into the terrace with a stunning view of the surrounding Szekszard hills. We also had the pleasure of taking the private dinner with Petra Tischler down in the wine cellar and I can just suggest that. The 7 course meal accompanied with the wine was an experience you don't want to miss. We also had lovely evening during the wine tasting with cheese platter the next day.
Everything was simply amazing! We celebrated my brother's small wedding here and they couldn't have chosen a better place. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere is very intimate, and they paid attention to every little detail. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience and relaxation.
