Szigetszentmiklós floating moors

Quiet a nice place. Never visit after heavy rain, as it is muddy initially by its nature. Do not expect a long walk there. Not always easy to walk for small children, because bridges are pretty hard to climb for them, and walkway is bumpy. (Fully natural, which is a good thing, in my opinion, although.) Not to much meal options around.

You have a beautifull walk from Barruera up here through the forrest by waterfalls. Check the timetable because for the first time it was closed. One of the larger churches but still very small and you have a nice view fromt the bell tower where you can walk up. After visiting you can go to Boi on an other walkway.

Walking in the middle of water in such a beautiful landscape is relaxing. I enjoyed this path, where benches and bins have been put, together with indicative panels, but actually adventuring anywhere along rivers and canals is a pleasure. Here, mind the fact that there are many wooden bridges with steep steps.

Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area, you can walk on a narrow path to the tip of the floating island. You will most certainly see swans, wild ducks, and people in canoes and rowing boats. There is a good size playground for children, and a small boat port too.

Nice place to explore to get away from the noise of the city. Lots of wildlife and beautifil views. A playground and fitness park in the area as well as a running circuit (no public restrooms).
