Tengerszem Camping & Üdülőpark

We were two people camping for 4 nights. The campsite was very correct, the tent/caravan sites were kept in perfect order. The toilet block was under renovation, so we couldn't use it, but it was very nice from what we saw of it. Of course, they provided us with bathroom/kitchen use, which was simply fantastic. The reception was very nice and hospitable, helped us with extra tips in organizing our trip and they were always available for anything. We spent a wonderful few days here and we would like to thank you again for the tips for our last day, thanks to you we were able to visit a beautiful part of Zemplén.

Over the years, the holiday homes have fallen into a terrible state. The light bulbs are burnt out, the shower cubicle is broken, the shower head holder is broken, there is mold all around the edges of the shower tray, the refrigerator is rusty, the mattresses are stretched out. But the most shocking thing is that one half of the building has sunk so much that the wall structure has separated from the ceiling crown. It takes courage to receive guests in this. It is so rough that it has been declared static. You can see out from under and above the front door, the cold is howling inwards.

Average - Pricey, which would have been OK if you get something back for your money apart from basic furniture and a roof. Owners could have made our stay more enjoyable by providing more then two pots to cook and 6 tiny glasses. Sets of 4 plates cutlery was also given but... Prepare to bring your kitchen with you if you want to cook/enjoy any food. A little extra to this 'superior' house at 20k/night and a little love from the management could have made a big difference. Will not return but will try to rent a private house from someone who wants their customers to return.

We spent one night at the campsite. The young man on the phone was very nice and helpful, even when we arrived. He also recommended a restaurant for my question. The toilet and bathroom were very clean and modern, plus points for the quiet music. It was also easy to reach at night and the campsite had lights on at night so you didn't have to stumble around in the dark. There was also a pool, but unfortunately the weather wasn't kind. (There is a small shop around the corner)

The campsite is not worth the price, for 1 night, 2 people, one tent without a toilet and shower (renovation), it cost us around 19,000 forints, which is definitely too much, it's the first time I've seen such a price, the only positive thing is that despite such a price, the staff is very nice and helpful
