Tiszafüredi Thermál Strand és Gyógyfürdő

When we moved into the area in 2014, this was a very nice old-fashioned spa with 1 indoor (semi-open) thermal pool, a large outdoor swimming pool, a small outdoor hot thermal pool (with water jets) and a modern and cool play/relax pool. Several years ago the roof of the indoor pool partly collapsed, while my wife was bathing in there as part of her medical treatment, so it was closed immediately and it was later partly demolished. The outdoor swimming pool has also been closed for years now. The place is now generally dilapidated, and is partly derelict. Some of the buildings are in a terrible state, and look unsafe. I would not use this place in its current state, even if they paid me! There is no doubt that in many European countries any spa in this state would have been closed down by the authorities. There has been a lot of talk about (and even some drawings of) a propsed redevelopment of the site, but most local people do not believe that it will ever happen. It is all extremely sad.

Based on the reviews I came here already afraid, it turned out that my fear was justified. The condition of the toilets is below critical. The swimming pool is closed due to its condition and unfortunately its condition is not encouraging either. The water is full of algae, black dirt, the hard dirt at the bottom of the pool cut my feet and this does not seem acceptable at all. Therefore I am paying the entrance fee. The local buffet is pretty much okay, although I would prefer the restaurant. The quantity is okay, the quality is acceptable. Overall I am not satisfied. Hygiene and comfort are non-existent, but in return for me it is overpriced.

I have never been to such a dirty, unsophisticated beach in my life. I can't even write a review about the toilets, only two of the pools are working, but they don't halve the entrance ticket price because of it. The first pool was disgustingly dirty. I can't believe that the ÁNTSZ allows this beach to operate. A huge disappointment! Avoid it from afar!!!! I only gave it one star because they wouldn't let me publish what I wrote!

One of the large pools, where young people could still swim - without disturbing the elderly in the treatment pool - was already empty in mid-September. Being state-owned, like the campsite, it would need a lot of renovations, modifications, it is very outdated, it would be good to renovate the entire building in fact, it would certainly attract more people, if it were nice and clean.

I understand that they are fighting to survive, but it is really underrated. The entrance fee is 1,900 HUF, for which you can "in return" use a 23-25 degree pool and a thermal water pool. Unfortunately, time has passed for the spa, you have to let it go, or spend a lot of money on it and do it, but this is unacceptable for such a price. For about 500 HUF, it would be worth going here.
