Tófürdő Nyíregyháza

I really like the Lake Bath. The surroundings are beautiful. The grass is well-maintained, there are several shady areas, and if we go early we can even find a sunbed. The outdoor showers and the snail-shaped changing cabins are also very useful. In cooler weather or before closing, it is nice to linger in the warm water pool. I only regret that it is no longer thermal this year. They also thought of the very small children with a paddling pool. If I am hungry, I usually eat divine lángos or delicious fried fish in two buffets, the service in both places is very nice. I always found the bathroom clean, there was always toilet paper and hand towels. The negative thing was that we managed to choose 3 sunbeds that were broken. It would be worth scrapping them and replacing them. It was quite annoying that after I pulled them across half the beach, the fault was discovered when we lay down on them. Another thing that can be remedied with a little attention: keeping the tables clean in the buffets. If there are a lot of guests and the atmosphere is busy, I understand that it is impossible to devote time to this. A solution would be to place a cleaning liquid and paper towels. I would have the opportunity to clean the tables after myself, maybe in front of myself.

It's a shame I didn't find out sooner that the lake is among the 4 worst water quality bodies in the country (based on NNK data, 2024.07.14). My swimming trunks were ruined after a slide, some white substance was smeared on them. (I wasn't the only one who did this!) Oh, and I couldn't pay with a SZÉP card because the system didn't work. By the way, the landscaped area is nice, there's a lot of shade. The buffets are above the standard of Lake Balaton prices (lemonade 1400 HUF). The shore is full of duck poop, but at least the ducks are cute. So instead of the lake, I might take a dip in the sewage tank next time, my pants won't get ruined either. You can spend the day better for 4000 HUF. It's a shame, but we won't go again for a while now. The kids liked the children's pool.

Nyíregyháza, Lake Bath on the shore of Lake Sóstó. It has been a popular bathing spot among lovers of natural waters for 100 years, bathers have given it the name of the Sóstó Riviera. The Lake Bath was completely renovated in 2019, and parts of the wonderful park were renovated. Silky Tisza sand was spread on the shore of the Lake Bath in 1930. It is particularly interesting that a thermal water pool has been available to guests next to the lake since the 1960s.

Quite a nice, well-maintained area near Lake Shoshto. Entrance through the ticket office; changing rooms, toilets, showers are included in the ticket price. There is a water slide. The jacuzzi pool was very chlorinated, although perhaps because of the heat. There are cafes on the territory. The ticket cost was about 12 euros per adult.

I can say that it's not worth it for this much money. There are much better spas nearby than this one. If you're not from Nyíregyháza, you'll pay 15,000 HUF for a family entrance fee. There are also many more pools elsewhere, for example in Kisvárda or Balmazújváros, and the entrance fee is also lower.
