My friends and I thought we would go to the night wellness of the Gyula Castle Bath one evening during the long weekend. It seemed like a good idea, but we really regretted it. After entering, we went straight to the wellness section, where we were shocked to see that this section was already closed. They forgot to inform us about this before buying the tickets. But then why is it called night wellness? We went to the sauna park. There, a session costs 500 HUF/person - even on top of the entrance fee. The session itself was not bad, just a bit short. However, anyone who didn't want to participate in the session couldn't use the plunge pool. So all in all, we felt very cheated.

Easy access at the back street. On hot days it's hard to find parking in the street. Parking should be paid til 6 p.m. and cost around 90 cents per hour. Entrance to the facility is high. The reduced afternoon fee was around 40 Euros for an adult and two kids.

We have been to Gyula many times and we love it very much, but this time we were there on January 22nd and 23rd, nothing was working, every pool that was working was packed with Romanians and it was not enjoyable due to the crowding.

The pool is as big as the place is. The whole place is a buffet complex, you need a separate entrance for outside and inside, the employees were bored to death at the main entrance, unfortunately they couldn't even say hello.

The small bridge in the castle garden offers a fantastic view. The sightseeing train starts from its foot. There is still water under the bridge, but only half of it. This may be the protective part of the castle moat.
