Zala Springs Golf Resort

We decided to spend our fall vacation in this luxury resort. Revisiting after 5 years, we are pleasantly surprised. Arriving to the resort, you will be amazed by its look already at the main gate. We had very warm and nice welcome, quick check in and than we went to our spacious room with even bigger terrace. Since we arrived late we did not have chance to play, so we went to wellness area. Wellness spa is well equipped with three different saunas, indoor thermal pool and outside pool with jacuzzi. Once again very good service hospitality, there is even nice bar with many refreshment options. We finish our day with great dinner in clubhouse restaurant, where you can choose from many different dished and great local wines. Golf course Zala Springs is mixed of parkland and semi links style in flat area. Nevertheless surrounding nature of Zala country is very nice and course is nicely fit in the area. Well maintained greens and fairways will reward you for your shots. Both loops front and back finish close to clubhouse, and both greens are very challenging I would even say that 9th is more demanding. Overall course offers great price/performance ration and with awesome hospitality and maintenance is must for every golfer to visit this place.

Most of the staff were rude, unkind, and unhelpful. When I asked a question, they rolled their eyes at me before answering, and I later learned that they were speaking badly about me in Hungarian which my wife, being Hungarian, understood. Let’s just say their comments were anything but pleasant, and I definitely did not feel welcome. However, the worst issue was the cleanliness. I had a serious problem when I discovered feces yes, actual feces on two supposedly clean, fresh towels in our room on the same night. On top of that, there appeared to be cigarette ashes on my bathrobe. After coming into contact with a towel that had feces on it, I no longer felt comfortable staying there. We decided to leave the hotel around 11 p.m. and slept in our car instead. I will say, to their credit, that we received a refund without any issues though given the circumstances, and the fact that I showed them both contaminated towels, they really had no choice.

Fantastic green area. Nice clean environment, clean rooms, modern interior, fully equipped with everything. Surprisingly, there are branded toiletries!! The staff is always nice. Great breakfast buffet. We only had a bad experience on the terrace, when we were still eating and 4 German people next to us started smoking at the same time. It's not forbidden, but it still doesn't go well. But overall, everything is great. I recommend it to everyone.

Were at Zala Springs late summer this year (2015) and must say that although the course is new and therefore not fully finalized, it was a pleasure visiting the place - extreamly polite and helpful golf-staff. Zala Springs golf is a place to visit if you are in the area, good test of your golfing skills. I will for sure be back in 2016. Torben (Hcp 6)

Ecellent golf course in the higher price class. One small miss that there is no drinking water on the course anywhere. A bottle of water should be part of the golfcar hire. A rolling buffet would be nice to have on the quit long golf course. It could sell water, coffee, beer, snacks, sandwiches etc.
