Zalakarosi Fürdő

We have been going to this spa for 25 years. Unfortunately, the level of service is declining quite a bit. Everything we liked in the spa has been canceled over time. The outdoor restaurants with a diverse offer of delicious Hungarian dishes have been gradually canceled. The food in the spa is quite limited, the offer has been the same for several years, only the prices are climbing higher and higher. Some indoor or outdoor attractions have not been working for several years. For example, the bubble seats have only been working half-way for several years. The stairs to the pool in the outdoor treatment center had peeling tiles. Admission prices are constantly increasing but the level is decreasing, you pay full price and if there are holidays in the Czech Republic, then actually the highest price and often many services are limited or out of service. If I had to evaluate the spa 25 years ago and now, I have to say that the spa, despite trying to modernize it with its character and changing orientation towards families with children, was, in my opinion, great 25 years ago and now it is more average. Still, I go here and will continue to go out of nostalgia and habit. The only restaurant, not counting the buffets in the entertainment area, basically has a monopoly and the stall with langos, which are available outside in the season, is already closed in October.

The bath is good, although there are many people but there are many pools in a large area, the slide "gets lost" in the crowd. The prices are reasonable, the water temperature is great, it was 34°C that day, the water was just pleasant! The slides are great, varied! The food and drink offer is plentiful, the prices are normal! What I would mention as a negative is the beach closing at 7 pm so you can't even go in for your stuff, but the indoor part closes 1 hour later. And the fact that there are not enough tires! 😔 You have to stand in line downstairs to get your tires and upstairs too, the line goes pretty fast. If they would change this - or at least the right amount of tires - between the two, it would be a super great place! We had a great time anyway! We went with 2 children, 2 pensioners and 2 adults!☺️

There are some interesting things. It is very difficult to find your way around the spa area, it is a labyrinth. When we mentioned this to the cashier, he said that he also gets lost. (!!!) The centrifuges are located in the pool area, although everyone gets dressed in the changing room and would use this device there. 😞 The performance of the hair dryers is reminiscent of the performance of devices from the 80s, which is not a problem in the summer heat, but it is a spa that guests also use in winter. 😕 The lady at the buffet next to the outdoor spa pool wanted to serve the drained approx. 3 dl of beer from the previously frothy, but set aside mug and she didn't even like that I didn't ask for it. Otherwise, the water is good, the pools are good, but the design lacked rationality.

It is relatively easy to find your way around the spa during the almost winter season, although I was once unsure where I should go. However, there are a lot of experience elements in both the adventure and the spa. I wondered why there were so many people in the spa, but then it soon turned out that on Sundays from 10:30 there was water gymnastics with atmospheric music. It was fun to watch the many people as they imitated the movements of the trainer. After that, the massage fountains started, then the rolling corridor followed, and finally the whirlpool by the benches.
