Kvika Footbath

Such a peaceful little spot! Kvika Foot Bath might be one of the smallest hot springs in Iceland, but it’s definitely worth the visit. Located right by the ocean near Grotta Lighthouse in Seltjarnarnes, the views are stunning — especially at sunset. The water is warm and relaxing, perfect after a walk along the coast. It’s a unique blend of art and nature, and a great place to pause and take it all in. Highly recommend making the short trip from Reykjavik!
SOOO very happy to have been able to find this great little spot!!! Took us a bit of time to find it but once we did, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't soak my feet but did immerse my cold hands and it felt great on such a cold and windy day. I am including a photo I took with the small building, to give context for other visitors to help find it. Great view, nice walking area with a parking lot close by. I recommend finding this little gem!
It's a very small and nice footbath, you can spend 5 to 30 minutes there, in summer you will have the perfect noise of birds around you and in winter the amazing landscape around you. Well local people go there often, so be polite, be quiet 🤫, please be quiet! And respect other people who don't consider there as a tourist attraction. The water is very warm and very cosy, you will love it. It's free so please keep it clean. Enjoy 😊.
Incredible foot bath, saved my mom after a rainy day since she often has very cold feet. You can also dip your hands and it warms you basically through the whole body. It's about 30 cm deep and a meter in diameter. My mom joked that she could even fit whole in it. The temperature is around 40° to 45°C so really great and really helps you when you need to warm yourself.
A quiet place at the end of the peninsula where birds nest, a beautiful opportunity for a walk, running, cycling...romantic place next to the ocean. Plenty of benches and many places to stop and rest, with birds also visible nearby by the lake. A small pool for dipping your feet is the cherry on top after a beautiful walk.

Make a day of it — a quick-dry towel, dry bag, and post-soak layers take almost no pack space.
