Sky Lagoon

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible experience — a must-do in Iceland I visited Sky Lagoon with my partner on a Monday at around 3:30pm and it ended up being one of the highlights of our Iceland trip. We chose the Saman package (standard changing rooms) and felt it was great value for money. The location is very convenient, about a 15–20 minute drive from Reykjavík city centre. From the moment you arrive, everything is very well organised. Staff explain the process clearly and you’re given a wristband that acts as your locker key (just pick any locker with a green light) and your payment method for drinks, food, and anything you purchase on site. Note that alcoholic drinks are limited to three per person in the lagoon bar. The changing rooms were spotless, spacious, and well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryers, separate toilets, and bags for wet swimwear. Lockers are large enough for coats, shoes, and bags. You do need to shower naked before entering the lagoon (standard in Iceland), but there are private cubicles available if you prefer. The cubicles aren't full length but they're private enough IMO. The lagoon itself is stunning, much bigger than expected, with an ocean view that makes it feel like an infinity pool or something out of a Disney movie. There’s a waterfall feature, built-in seating areas around the lagoon to relax in, and consistently warm water with slightly hotter spots if you move around. There’s also a swim-up bar and plenty of bins that staff empty regularly. Despite it being popular and people taking photos, you can still find quieter corners to relax. We visited in February with cold, rainy weather and grey skies, but that honestly added to the atmosphere rather than taking away from it. The 7-step ritual was fantastic and definitely worth doing properly. The cold plunge wasn’t as bad as expected, and the sauna has one of the best views I’ve ever experienced overlooking the ocean. After the cold mist, body scrub, and steam room, your skin genuinely feels softer by the end. One of the best things is there’s no time limit. We spent about 2.5 hours relaxing in the lagoon with drinks before starting the ritual, then another couple of hours afterwards once the lagoon lighting came on in the evening and gave a very different ambience. I’d highly recommend a late afternoon/evening visit so you can experience both daylight and nighttime views. There’s also a nice café/bar area with a fireplace for relaxing afterwards before you settle your wristband bill and leave. We spent around £60 on six drinks (5 beers and a cocktail), which felt "reasonable" for Iceland. Helpful tips: • Wear a beanie hat in colder weather • Don’t wet your hair before entering the lagoon in winter • Bring a waterproof phone pouch if you want photos/videos (or buy one there) Overall this is an absolute must-do if you’re visiting Iceland, you won’t regret it. Also, If you were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights from the lagoon it would be incredible. Would definitely return.

This is my second visit here, I really enjoy the experience, especially if you do the upgraded Ser experience with private changing rooms and showers. There’s no getting around the fact that this place is really busy and people in the pool are just louder than they need to be. But the seven step ritual is your chance to escape that so take your time in there and enjoy it. The most unique is definitely the outdoor mist area, super cool experience after warming up in the sauna with beautiful views of the ocean. Would recommend allocating minimum 3 hours to the whole experience including changing. They cap The number of drinks you can buy too, so that’s probably designed to keep people churning in and out. You can rent a baiting suit at check in if you forget one or don’t want to travel with wet clothes. It was probably 1500kr and they run kind of small, so size up. I found the large fit like my medium usually does. Staff were helpful and guide you through your visit. This is a great last stop before hopping on a plane ride home ;)

We had a wonderful experience at the Sky Lagoon. Ended up coming here after doing a comparison between the other lagoons. This lagoon is set up very nicely. When you enter you are given wrist bands which you use to pay for drinks at the swim up bar and also to lock your lockers in the changing room. We used the communal locker which was perfectly fine. The locker has plenty of space. Do bring a swim suit and slippers. Towels are provided in abundance. 7 step ritual is included in the basic package. We spend about 2-2.5 hours here which felt more than adequate. Would definitely go back! Had a great experience

Sky Lagoon is a very beautiful and pleasant place. The location is stunning, with amazing views that really make the experience special. The spa circuit is very relaxing and well designed, making it easy to fully disconnect and enjoy the moment. On top of that, the staff is very friendly and always willing to help, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. From start to finish, everything feels well organized and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great experience and definitely worth visiting if you’re looking to relax and enjoy incredible views.

The best of the best experiences I had in island. Must go attraction! It was my last day resort, and I guess it’s the best experience to be last after hectic days of hop on hop off experience all around Iceland. It was a resort to calm down, relieve any muscle tension or pain, warms the body and soul, enjoyable sunset view across the horizon above the sea and lagoon area, just majestic 🤩. Make sure to try the 7 rituals evolving your 7 chakras, then shower and go home for a good night sleep 😴 💤💤
