Akane Onsen

Very nice super baty just a 7min bike ride from Takamatsu station. There's no soap or shampoo so bring your own. Pay 350 more ten and get access to the sauna, salt bath and other hot pools. Well worry the price. The salt room was really nice, I enjoyed enveloping myself with salt all over. The sauna was very hot and the half a dozen pools were nice and relaxing. All in all, a great way to end a full day of sightseeing.
Not ideal for tourist. Please bring your own shampoo and towel if you insist of coming. However, you can rent a towel and buy the shampoo and body wash here. In addition, in Akane Onsen, you got to pay extra to use their Suana facilities. Different from the other onsen where one price allow you to excess to all the onsen and sauna.
Big public sento, the outdoor bath was especially comfortable. Has a small dining hall, vending machines, and other amenities outside the baths. Can get busy, especially with families and older folks.
Amazing experience with local people the day before going to Naoshima. Great sauna and salt steam room, sparkling bath outside and aromatic bath
Excellent onsen with several pools. Sauna is charged separately. Still it's all worth the money. Bring your own shampoo.
