This super public bath is about a 25-minute walk from Shikama Station on the Sanyo Electric Railway and just over 10 minutes from the neighboring Mega Station. Their selling point is their open-air bath, but it's not that big. It's a decent size for a regular open-air bath. Adding the stone sauna adds up to over 1,500 yen, but it's worth the price, and the dedicated stone sauna area is less crowded, and you can borrow indoor wear, so it's comfortable. There are two types of stone sauna plus the cold bath, so it's best to alternate between them. However, perhaps due to the old facilities, each person must keep their own shoe locker and locker keys (there are plenty of warnings, but it seems like someone might steal your things), the regular bath and stone sauna are on separate floors, and all the vending machines accept cash, so it's difficult to manage your wallet even to buy a drink (although there are valuables lockers on the stone sauna floor). The attached restaurant, Shirasagi-an, is not only reasonably spacious, but it's also nice, with a fair number of solo customers during the day on holidays and plenty of counter space. The photo shows a mini curry udon and fried chicken set (1,580 yen). They also have a small drink set, and you can take another bath after eating, so it's probably for people staying for a long time. Payment here is also cash, so in this day and age, it seems like it would be easy to accidentally run out of cash and get into trouble. If you want to eat, you'll need 3,000 to 4,000 yen.

I went to this bath on a weekday afternoon after getting my car inspected by a nearby user. It was mid-December. I had tried to do this before, but they only accept cash!! I didn't have enough money left, so I had to give up... so this time I came prepared with plenty of cash 😗 And it was the right decision! I've consistently adhered to a cash-first approach ever since. In a way, I like it because it's honest. All you have to do is research and understand the rules beforehand. The sauna is spacious. Lots of people were watching TV, and it was a test of patience. The other steam sauna, which uses medicinal herbs, had a visibility of just 50 centimeters, which was also interesting. The washing area at the back had been closed after the equipment was removed. The footbath in the rest area was dried up. It hadn't been open for a while? There was a corner of the open-air bath that smelled of champagne, which I particularly liked. Apparently the theme changes for limited periods, so I'm sure there will be other types to enjoy in the future. It's not close to me so I rarely come here, and the cute lady at the reception desk recommended I get a membership card, so I thought about joining, but I gave up when I found out it was only valid for six months...

Absolutely a very nice sentou (public bath). I've had a fantastic time here, visiting with a Japanese friend. The atmosphere and the facilities are superb. The people are friendly and overall and the bath is very relaxing l.

Fantastic public bath! Different types of hot spring in and outdoors, very clean facilities and they provide soap. One of our favourites!

I go there to relax and heal my tired body. The food is also delicious, making it a place that satisfies both the mind and body.
