Super love this place! It’s beside a gym / golf range! remember to take off your shoes and place them at the locker at the front upon entering the place. We went on a weekday hence it’s cheaper. 800 yen for onsen and 1600 + 300 for a rental of robe for salt bed if you would like that combo instead. The bathhouse is spacious with one outdoor / open area. Lots of bath for you to dip in! they even have a sauna / steam room for the ladies. I just observe how the local Japanese do and just follow accordingly. Like rubbing the salt given when in steam room, etc. Love it! For the price super worth it. Remember to bring along your own towel; otherwise you have to pay rental for it too. They will also give a tag, please keep it with you for payment before you exit the onsen

Aratae Hot Spring is a tranquil destination offering a relaxing escape for visitors. The facility is well-maintained and provides a serene atmosphere, often surrounded by natural beauty. The hot springs are known for their soothing waters, perfect for relieving stress and rejuvenating the body. Highlights: - Clean and well-kept facilities. - Peaceful setting, often with scenic views. - Ideal for couples, families, or solo visitors seeking relaxation. Considerations: - Some areas might be crowded during peak times. - Check for additional amenities like spa services or on-site dining for a more complete experience. Overall, it's an excellent spot for a calming retreat.

Lots of people on the first day of the year. Even though there are people and kids around, the staffs do their best to maintain clean inside the bathroom and onsen area. The reception also very nice to us even we don’t speak Japanese. Patiently explain how things work inside the facility.

This is a spacious hot spring with a wide variety of baths. I was especially intrigued by the bath that offers electric massage — it was quite a unique experience. The facility also has well-equipped rest areas, making it a great place to visit with family.

Loved my experience here, stayed here for hours quite cheaply. You have various different options, saunas, hot stone areas. It is a must go, your stress will melt away. Don't forget to go into the cold pool every now and then to make sure you refresh.
