Aratae Natural Hot Spring Naruto

November 24, 2025 (National Holiday) 8:30 PM - I visited Tokushima and stopped by on my way home. (It was the last day of the long weekend, so it was empty.) A newly opened super public bath? Two jacuzzis, a carbonated bath, a cold bath, an open-air bath, and two separate bathtubs (one with a bubble bath that supposedly has a massage effect). A four-stage ReFa shower, a foam facial cleanser, three shampoos (choose from two), a hair dryer with a powerful airflow, cotton swabs, tissues, an all-in-one (lotion and emulsion), a fan, a water bottle... It was a very comfortable facility. Shoe lockers and a changing room cost ¥100 each, which might be a bit inconvenient... There's a simple rest area, but it seems you can relax in a separate room for an additional fee. d(^_^o) The nearby roadside station is full, and it's getting colder, so it would be convenient to sleep in your car at an RV park with power outlets (fee required). There's a convenience store next door.
This place is amazing!! Our itinerary was Otsuka Museum of Art - Arashi - Aratae no Yu. We changed our plans and decided to relax here for a bit... This place is so great!! They have light meals on the first floor and in the rest area. They have sashimi and all kinds of other things on the first floor, so it seems like you can enjoy delicious fish without having to wait in line like at the famous restaurants nearby. The open-air bath offers a view of the boat races, and with the nearby mountains and open sky, it's a wonderful panorama that feels like an extension of the Otsuka Museum of Art. I highly recommend it for relaxing!! This is definitely one of the places I want to visit Tokushima again. It seems you can even sleep in your car.
Unacceptable to be sexism so obviously! The Male side of Onsen♨️provides fantastic view by watching boat races in open air bath♨️ as well as mountain⛰️ n bridge. However, the female side of Onsen only has a small-sized roof top covered by cheap things! As a female, you may only enjoy sun-bath🌞in that narrow space, but paying ¥1000-$8 as same as another side by impressive views to watch boat race in person as well as mountain n bridge! What an example in 21st Century!
The price of 800¥ week day and 1000¥ during week end for an adult. I think it was a very good price for the quality. You have many choice of bath with bubble, cold, hot, inside, outside. There is also sauna but I have not been in it. The staff is welcoming enough. The rest area upstairs is accessible at an additional fee what I found little bit unfortunate. I went there for the bath so I am happy The parking is big (multiple parkings)
I stopped by on my way back from the boat races. The building, bathrooms, and relaxation rooms are all clean and comfortable. The men's open-air bath allows you to watch the races while you soak. It might just be noisy for those who aren't interested in boat racing, though.
