Asarigawa Onsen Hotel

Great place to stay for skiing! The room does not have a shower in it. You shower at the onsen (seated shower)! The onsen has four pools, two inside, one super hot and one mild. Two pools outside one hot and one cold plunge. They also have a sauna that you can put water on to make it steam. It is gender separate & no clothing!! This was amazing to have post ski day! They have free water on the main floor that we used each day. The pillows are so hard to sleep on. Would stay here again for overall experience!

As expected for price and as advertised on booking.com. Basic onsen hotel. Don't expect fancy and you will be happy. No showers in rooms so need to use public bath. Across the road from ski hill and 30 min bus to town. Room looks out on ski lifts. Good food from set menu in restaurant for dinner. We did the basic room so only had 4 options but looks like people who spent more got shower and meal options too.

Traditional Japanese hot spring hotel with reasonable price. Room is simple and tidy. There’s no bathroom in the guest room so it’s a good chance to experience the Japanese public bathing culture and facilities provided by the hotel. Recommend the outdoor hot spring, indoor hot spring is around 42c which is a bit too hot for me. Free parking available

2 Min drive from asarigawa ski resort. 800 yen for onsen only. Restaurant not opened for lunch. One rotemburo and one cold bath outdoors. Has sauna in a separate room. Quite crowded for a Saturday afternoon. Any 15 shower booths. One standing shower. No view to speak off. They do provide moisturiser milk and oil though.

Visited on Feb 2024. Decently sized room, but no shower in room. Corridor and rooms look like hospital; not surprised as it was once a nursing home that was repurposed into a hotel.
