あしや温泉 足湯(無料)

This foot bath hot spring rivals Shioashiya Genki Foot Bath in Ashiya City. While the water there is cloudy, reminiscent of Arima's Kinsen, this one is colorless and transparent, and is thought to have the same spring quality (sodium chloride bicarbonate spring) as the natural hot spring on the same premises. It is usually not as crowded as Shioashiya Genki Foot Bath, so you can soak in it for a relatively long time. The water is quite hot. If it's your first time, you might be surprised and pull your legs back... but the feeling of the water seeping in right after you soak is likely to become addictive, especially in the cold season.
The water temperature is just right, and I'm enjoying using the facilities comfortably. However, there are a few things that bother me about the manners of other users. For example, I sometimes feel uncomfortable when people force their opinions on others or make prejudiced remarks about people of a particular nationality. Also, I'm disappointed when people speak negatively about users who aren't present. Since this is supposed to be a relaxing space, it would be helpful if the facility provided guidance to improve manners so that everyone can enjoy it comfortably.
After canoeing practice at Ashiya Beach, we walked to the foot bath. Even though it's a public facility, the atmosphere is relaxed and calm, and previous visitors were reading or contemplating in their own way. After enjoying the foot bath with a friend for a good hour or so, lo and behold! My whole body felt refreshed and light, from my legs on down. This is the true power of hot springs. Since we were able to enjoy it for free, we decided to go to the bathhouse next.
I heard about a good spot, so I go there every day. My blood circulation is poor due to a chronic illness, and the weather is getting colder and colder, so this is just right. The temperature is just right, so I bring a towel with me and soak my feet in the hot spring. Just doing that helps relieve my fatigue.
The children were making a lot of noise in a public place, eating chocolate pie while soaking their feet in the footbath and taking commemorative photos in groups of about 10, unaware of the inconvenience they were causing to other users. The parents around them paid no attention to them.

Make a day of it — a quick-dry towel, dry bag, and post-soak layers take almost no pack space.
